My card today is one I cased from Naomi but changed it out to suit what I wanted to do.
In fact, not only did I use Washi Tape to create my card, but I’ve added strips of Peekaboo Peach & Basic Black Card mixed in. I used the “Faux Stitching” Technique on it which just happens to be one our techniques for November. Be sure to go & check out our Technique Page.
I must say one thing – since beginning this idea, I am finding I am actually using my WashiTape & will be happy that I may not have any left over come the end of the current Catalogue. Usually I have a heap of it left.
It’s quite a simple & easy card but one with a bit of a WOW!

I was playing around the other day & decided to have a play with Washi Tape & try & use it in an entirely different way. Mind you, I am still working on that project.
While playing, I had a light bulb moment! Why not try & use it with the Brick Wall EF? Out came the “Cherry on Top” Washi Tape (Retired) & off I went playing & cutting.
As I wanted the Washi Tape to be the star, I kept the remainder of the card very clean & simple. Don’t forget, you could even use scraps of DSP, Ribbon or even Cardstock. You will also need a little bit of patience, but I think it is worth it in the end.

Today is “Washi Wednesday” which means we have a card using Washi Tape.
Again, it is a very easy card but with a little bit of a WOW. It is not my idea, as I found one on Pinterest but sort of turned it into my own. In fact I had picked up the “Pop of Pink”Washi Tape to use, remember seeing the card & went with it. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
If you don’t have Washi Tape, don’t forget you could try using strips of DSP to create the card.

It’s Wednesday today, which means its “Washi Wednesday” where we get to create cards using the lovely Washi Tape.
I did these cards a couple of weeks ago for some Thank You Cards for my customers. I ended up doing a couple of each which is unusual for me as I don’t often create a number of the same cards, but I love how quick & easy cards are able to be created using Washi Tape. You don’t have to have a couple of layers like I have, you could easily just create using your Base Card.

As mention in my Newsletter, I am going to try & convince you all to use your “Washi Tape” & try something new. With that in mind, let’s call it “Washi Wednesday, so hopefully each Wednesday I will have a card using this fantastic product. Stampin’ Up! have the most gorgeous Tape & I can bet we all have a bunch of it hey. I thought it would be a great idea to start using it & then try & encourage you to play with it. I know, I bet it is sitting in the bottom of your drawer!!!!! The beauty about Washi Tape is it can help create quick & easy cards which can still have a WOW about them.
I’ve actually created my card using a sketch I made way back in June – same layout, different look. You will be able to see the original one by clicking on this link & another card using the same layout here.
