Today, I am sharing with you a card I created from a left over piece of Watercolour PaperI had used on a card a couple of days ago. Instead of wasting it, I thought it would be great to try & use the piece on something. As I had the “Naturally Eclectic” DSPsitting on my desk, it suddenly hit me that the colours matched perfectly with the DSP. Don’t you love it when this happens?
For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of the DSP, adhered a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card to one side, layered it onto a piece of Whisper White Card before adhering to the inside of the Base Card –Night of Navy.
Do you recognize it? It is from the front of the Annual Catalogue. Not much difference, but I have managed to add my own interpretation to it. Don’t forget to use the Catalogue for inspiration.
There is a free tutorial for you by clicking on the link below to create your own card. It includes a list of supplies used on the card plus measurements (metric & imperial).
I’ve been playing with the lovely, lovely “Magical Mermaid” Stamp Setover the weekend & must admit am loving it. For such a little stamp, it sure packs a bit of a punch!
I saw the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches& I had a piece of Watercolour Papersitting on my desk waiting for inspiration to hit me so it was perfect timing to create something with the Paper using the sketch provided. The only stipulation was keeping the card “clean-lined & fresh”. I think I have managed to do this, but would love to know if you think I have!
It is not very often I create square cards, except for special occasions or if I am ask to do so. In fact, my card is actually a 6″ square card but am loving the end result! Now to create an envelope to fit it!
Thanks to the Watercolour Paper I could apply lots of water & with a big help from my Aqua PainterI was able to achieve what I had I my mind. The key thing when working with water & your Aqua Painter is to let your card dry completely & also between colouring with different Inks so that they don’t run into each other, unless of course, that is what you are aiming for, eg my background.
Thank you to FMS for a great challenge. Loved it! Why don’t you pop on & play along with their challenge. You still have a little time before the link closes.
