World Card Making Day 2025 | Merry & Joy

G’Day Friends,

Today I’m sharing Project #5 which I created especially for  World Card Making Day.  I am so late in sharing this with you.  This day was a Christmas Edition where we dived into the festive spirit early with a Christmas Edition celebration — because it’s never too soon for a little merry & joy!

For this project, I created with the Mintay Merry & Joy collection and I have to say, these Christmas papers are absolutely stunning — think rich reds, cozy green and just the right touch of sparkle.  Perfect for those heartfelt handmade cards that make the season extra special.

Whether you’re crafting for family, friends or planning to gift a handmade card set, this design makes it easy to spread cheer.  Add a few embellishments, a dash of glitter and you’re ready to make someone’s mailbox very merry indeed!

#WCMD2025 | Small Poinsettia Craft Dies | Non-Traditional Colours

G’Day Friends,

There’s nothing better than celebrating World Card Making Day then by creating something handmade and full of festive cheer.  Today, I’m sharing project #3 that combines the small poinsettia craft dies with the lovely Blue Glitter 6 x 6 Double Sided Premium Cardstock  by Kat Scrappinessbut with a twist!  Instead of classic reds and greens, I’ve gone for non-traditional colours to give this holiday design a fresh, modern look.

Why Non-Traditional Colours?

Sometimes it’s fun to step away from the traditional Christmas palette and play with softer tones, unexpected hues or even pastels.  Using non-traditional colours can make your Christmas cards feel unique and truly stand out.

The Design

  • Small Poinsettia Craft Dies:  These delicate flowers layer beautifully and add instant festive flair – especially all white

  • Pattern Paper:  A mix of textures and designs brings depth to the background – check out all that lovely glittler

  • Layout Inspiration:  I used a clean sketch design that highlights the focal point while keeping the overall card balanced – to me, simple is always best, especially with lots of lovely layers

PDF Tutorial & Sketch Layout Book

Want to recreate this design – or adapt it for your own festive projects?  We’ve created a PDF tutorial that walks you through the process step by step.  It also includes a sketch layout book, packed with ideas to help you design cards quickly and confidently.

World Card Making Day 2025 | Home For Christmas Collection

G’Day Friends,

Last Saturday, Robbie & myself spend all day creating & sharing our World Card Making Event with you on our YouTube Channels.  For something a little different, we did a Christmas Edition of #WCMD2025.

Today I’m sharing my very 1st Christmas project featuring the Home for Christmas paper collection by Uniquely Creative. This beautiful set of papers is perfect for creating cozy, nostalgic designs that capture the warmth of the Christmas season.

For this project, I combined a few of the gorgeous Creative Cuts from the Collection in the way of a Christmas tree, presents and of course, the lovely Home for Christmas pattern paper to make a card that feels both joyful and timeless.  It’s a wonderful way to kick off Christmas crafting and start building up a stash of handmade cards.

The Design

  • Home for Christmas Paper Collection: The rich colours and festive prints set the tone for the whole project.

  • Christmas Tree & Presents: Classic symbols of Christmas that instantly create a focal point.

  • Pattern Paper Layers: Mixing different designs adds depth and makes the card feel complete.

PDF Tutorial & Sketch Layout Book

To make this project easy to recreate, we’ve created a PDF tutorial that includes:
