In case you are not aware, Crafty’s is my volunteer class held each Friday at the Caloundra Community Centre. We’ve been going for a number of years now & the ladies that come along love it!
We used a lot of retired product t create our card, except for the Stamp Set – You’ve Got This. The class doesn’t mind as it gives me an excuse to use up my favourite product that I have lying around. We also kept it fairly easy but with a little colouring & embossing to ease back into the swing of things.

We’ve had a few weeks off from our Technique Class the past month – long weekends & personal issues, but we are now back on track. Our first class back is all about “Stained Glass“. We used love lovely stamp set – “You’ve Got This” for our first card, including new In Colour – Watermelon Wonder along with the matching Dotted Lace Trim in the same colour.
This Technique Class – “Stained Glass” will be repeated next month, so be sure to check the Classes/Workshop Page for the dates.
Today, is the day! The wait is over! The new SU! Catalogue is now live & there is no more waiting!
To browse the catalogue, please click on the catalogue picture on the left hand side bar or click on my Online Store to shop for your products. If you would like a copy of the new catalogue, please let me know & I will arrange to have it delivered or posted to you.
To celebrate the launch of the new catalogue I thought I would share the “Sneak Peek” Card I created a couple of weeks ago using the fantastic set – “You’ve Got This” I can see lots of potential happening with this set.
I actually cased my card from Page 113 of the new catalogue, although I did change a couple of things.
I’ve used my Blender Pen along with 2 of the new In Colours – Watermelon Wonder & Mint Macaron. Love, love, love the new In Colours.
If you click on the link below, you can create your own card from the free tutorial.
I cleaned my desk, schedule & craft room Monday morning hoping that my pre-order goodies would arrive early this week.
Much to my delight they actually arrived mid-morning & of course, I just had to have a play. Oh the excitement! I couldn’t get the box opened quick enough to see the new 2015-2017 In Colours in the flesh. Let me say you won’t be disappointed – they are gorgeous!
The day in the garden, weeding & much loved trip to the dump would have to wait for another day!
As the catalogue is not released as yet, I can only give you a very “sneak peek” at one f the sets I pre-ordered. Oh how I love this set “You’ve Got This“. Lots of colouring & playing going to happen here.
See the background – that is stamped with an image from the new stamp set using one of the new In Colours – Mint Macaron. The flower has been coloured with my Blender Pen, along with Watermelon Wonder (another new In Colour) & Calypso Coral.
I used a piece of Calypso Coral Card across the middle & cut the White Jute Ribbon (from the Occasions Catalogue) in half & pulled a couple of strands from the top & bottom of the Ribbon. This gives it a little bit of a shabby look. With one of the strands, I tied a small bow & adhered it to the flower with a Glue Dot.
You will have to check back 2 June to see the whole card & tutorial.
