It is only a new site – Retro Sketches – but boy have they got some followers. The sketch had just been posted & didn’t look too bad, so thought I would attempt it with some new products from SAB.
Measurements –
Base Card – Lucky Limeade – 11 3/4″ x 4 1/8″ or 30cm x 10.5cm
Layer 1 – Very Vanilla – 5 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ or 14cm x 9.5cm
Layer 2 – DSP – 5 1/2″ x 2 5/8″ or 14cm x 6.5cm
Layer 3 – Soft Suede – 2 1/4″ x 2″ or 5.5cm x 5cm
Layer 4 – DSP – 2 1/8″ x 1 7/8″ or 5cm x 4.5cm
I stamped 2 flower images onto the piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock using Pool Party Ink. Am loving this colour! The whole piece was run through the Bigshot using Embossing Folder – Square Lattice & adhered to the card.
Envelope & Inside Card… |
Prior to adhering the DSP to the Base Card, I adhered a piece of Ribbon down the centre & tucked the ends under.
The small piece of DSP was adhered to the piece of Soft Suede & adhered to the top of the larger piece of DSP with Snail Adhesive.
I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede Ink, punched out with the Curly Label Punch. I cut a piece of Pool Party scrap Cardstock with the same punch, cut in half & adhered to the top & bottom of my greeting. The whole piece was adhered to the smaller piece of DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow & adhered to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.
I adhered 2 pearls to the centre of the small flowers.
I am loving these new products & for the life of me don’t know why I haevn’t used them previously. Maybe, it had something to do with not being too keen on them, but boy has that changed!
