Happy Birthday To You

Today’s post is sort of a case from another I shared 2months ago.  It is also to remind youApril-TT that Technique Treats this month is Sponging & Heat Embossing which we’ve paired up with “Lovey as a Tree“.  Two very easy techniques but 2 with a very big WOW!

I’ve used 2 colours that I would not normally put together & are way out of my comfort zone, but you know what – I am loving them.  Just a small reminder that Hello Honey is one of the In-Colours that will be retiring at the end of the month along with Timeless Textures Stamp Set from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.  I will be honest with you as I am not a big fan of Hello Honey but each time I use it, especially with Black, I love it!

Anyhow, I would love to hear what you think about my card today.  Don’t forget to click on the link below to grab your free tutorial to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

140. Happy Birthday to You – Timeless Texture

Happy Birthday

This is a card created using the Watercolour Technique using Re-Inkers from our Technique Feb-TTTreats #1.  If you haven’t purchased this Treat, be sure to pop over to the Technique Treats Page.

I am loving this card especially with the touches of black with the pops of bright vibrant colours in the background.  No embossed background this time, just whishing the card around on my colour palette.  Not that you are able to see it, but the Tempting Turquoise Card has been Dry Embossed using the Fluttering Embossing Folder

For a little bit extra, I added a Tea Lace Doily down the left hand side & a couple of Basic Black Candy Dots.  The butterfly is all nice & glittery by using the Clear Wink of Stella Pen over the top.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

I had a play with the Water Colouring Technique a little while ago & this is the card I come up with.  It took me a little time to get use to the vibrant colour, but I am liking it a lot.

I actually Heat Embossed my Watercolour Paper first using White Embossing Powder & an image from “Birthday Blossoms“.  I then created a colour palette of Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight & Pink Pirouette, sprayed the palette with Water & then dipped my Paper into the palette & whished (is that a word?) it around.

I really think this lovely set has been missed in the Catalogue.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday Amber

Today’s card is one I created earlier on in the month for my niece’s birthdays.  Amber loves purple!  You can see Dan’s Red Card here, along with the Free Tutorial.

Both Amber & I went out for lunch a couple of days early to celebrate their birthdays (Dan was there in spirit).  We then come home & spent the afternoon sewing….  I am teaching her little by little but I think she has the hang of it for now until she wants to venture into some more involved.

Until, next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

Good Morning Stampers,1.--April

I’m sharing  a card Naomi & I created on Wednesday when we had a bit of a play arvo.

I love all the white on the card but at the same time adding bits of colour by using DSP, Candy Dots & Ink.  I wanted to showcase another way of using up your bits of DSP you have hanging around your craft room or even pieces you haven’t cut into as yet.  It is also to remind you that we have our Pretty Pattern Papers Tutorial available for sale.

I’m not really a brights person, but am very happy with the way this card turned out!  Don’t you love it when an idea works?  I would love to know what you think.

Don’t forget this DSP is on the Retirement List along with the Candy Dots, so now is the time to grab them before they are gone forever.

Don’t forget, by clicking on the link above the photo, you can download the tutorial to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
