The new challenge is up & running over at Sunny Challenges & Creations… so to join the challenge & have a little fun, hop on over to see samples.
As well as the sketch, we have to use a Wheel. My wheels have been long forgotten especially with so many great products for our Bigshot, so it was such a great feeling to be using them again. It was a toss-up for me between 2 wheels. The 2nd wheel I will be using to create another card & posting during the week.
Base Card – Basic Black – 5 7/8″ x 4 1/4″ or 15cm x 10.5cm – once scored & folded in half
Layer 1 – Whisper White – 5 3/4″ x 4″ or 14.5cm x 10cm
Layer 2 – Basic Black – 2″ x 4″ or 2.5cm x 10cm
Layer 3 – Whisper White – 1 7/8″ x 4″ or 2cm x 10cm
Layer 4 – Ribbon
I rolled my Wheel using Versamark onto the piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Poured Black Embossing Powder over the top, tapped the excess off & heat embossed using my Heat Tool. This piece was adhered to the piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
For my large flower, I repeated the same process, cut it out & set aside. I repeated the same for my 2 smaller flowers. I layered them on top of each other & using my 1/8″ Handheld Punch, I punched a hole through the middle & inserted a Red Brad. I again set it aside.
I stamped my greeting onto a scrap piece of Whisper White, punched using my Oval Punch & adhered using Snail Adhesive onto a piece of Real Red Cardstock which had been punched using my Scallop Oval Punch. Again using the Handheld Punch, I punched a hole through both pieces of cardstock on either side of the greeting. I threaded Ribbon through both holes, run it across the bottom of the layer & attached behind. I inserted a Black Brad either side of the greeting & over the top of the ribbon. The whole piece was then adhered to Whisper White Cardstock & then to the Base Card using Snail Adhesive.
Lastly, I applied SU Dimensionals to the back of the large flower cut out & adhered it to the card.
Along with using my wheels, it has been so long since I last embossed that I really enjoyed making this card. I love the effect Embossing does to your projects!
Gorgeous. One of my favourite colour combinations.
