Happy Birthday Naomi

Don’t you love creating for special people?  I know I do, although sometimes I think I tend to overthink things & make it so hard for myself as I want the card to be just “perfect”!

My card today is just that – for a special friend & one that I saw very similar on Pinterest but put my own spin on it.  I also wanted to used some of her favourite colours – Blues which I teamed up with Yellows & Browns.

I don’t have a Tutorial for you today as it “took off” in the mail before I remembered to do one, but hopefully I will be able to go by the photo.

With images from the gorgeous “Touches of Texture” Stamp Set I randomly stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla Card in Soft Sky Ink. The Dragonfly was stamped randomly in Crumb Cake Ink.  I did think about colouring them too but at the last moment left them as is.

I punched a piece of Very Vanilla Card with the 2″ Circle Punch before temp adhering it to the stamped Very Vanilla Card.  I then stamped the Sprig of Flowers twice over the Card in Crumb Cake before colouring the flowers with Soft Saffron Ink & the leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink with my Blender Pen.

I wrapped a piece of Metallic Gold Thread around my finger 3 times, adhered it to the back of the punched Circle with a Mini Glue Dot before adhering the circle to the card ensuring that all my images were lined up correctly.  This was then layered onto a piece of Soft Sky Card & then to the Base Card – Very Vanilla.

I stamped the “Banner” onto a piece of Very Vanilla Card in Crumb Cake Ink, stamped “Happy Birthday” from the “Birthday Banners” Stamp Set inside the Banner, again in Crumb Cake Ink & cut it out matching “Bunch of Banners” Framelits Dies.  Don’t you just love it when SU! have everything “matchy matchy?”

This was adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To complete my card, I then added small Pearl Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers & scattered a couple around the card.

I hope you had a lovely day Naomi & you liked your card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Pretty Pattern Papers

Crikey, I can’t believe that today’s release will be our 5th.  Where does the time go?  Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us throughout our adventure/s.  It is very much Augustappreciated.

Each month we release a set of 3 cards using DSP (Designer Series Paper), along with a Sketch, Supplies, Measurements & Instructions.  It is a way to get you to use up that lovely stash of Paper you have sitting in your cupboard.  The sketches are able to be used over & over so that you are creating entirely different looks.

This month we are playing with the lovely DSP Stack – “A Little Foxy”.  I love the colours in this stack & will admit that I didn’t want to cut into it, but now I can’t get enough of it.

Throughout the month, I will be creating more cards using this lovely paper, so be sure to pop back to check them out.

We hope you will join us this month.  To purchase your Tutorial, please click on the Pretty Pattern Papers Page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

I am in the process of creating a small package for a High Tea Cent Sale & thought I would share with you one of the cards that I’ve created using the “A Nice Cuppa” Stamp Set along with the matching “Have a Cuppa” DSP & of course the “Cups & Kettle” Framelits, al of which are now retired, but it has been great using them for this special event.

To be honest, I had created the beginning of this card when the items were current but it had gone into my unfinished pile.  All I had to do was add the elements at the top of the card.  Don’t ask me why I hadn’t done it previously as it took me all of about 15m to complete the card.

I actually did another one similar to this one which you will be able to find here, including a Tutorial.  For the Cup I’ve used Melon Mambo Card, Lemons have been stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink onto Whisper White Card & then fussy cut. The Tea Bag was stamped onto Whisper4. July White Card in Bermuda Bay Ink, while the Spoon was cut from Basic Grey Card.  Looking at my Lemons I should have stamped them onto Daffodil Delight Card in Whisper White Ink but that is ok with me.

Happy Birthday” is from “Thoughtful Banners” Stamp Set & was stamped onto Whisper White  Card in Basic Grey Ink, while the Frame was stamped in Bermuda Bay Ink & punched with the Classic Label Punch.

Remember this is a great way to use some of that DSP you have stashed in your cupboards.  To create more cards using DSP, why not head on over to the Pretty Pattern Papers Page to view, purchase & create more cards.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday to You

My post today is only a short one – on my way out to appointments……

I’ve played with the Ghosting Technique to create my card & was also one of our cards in our Technique Class last month.  Mind you, the colours are not what I would normally use either but hey, it is good to get out of your comfort zone once in awhile.  The ladies seemed to like it, so that is the main thing.

If you would like to create more cards using this Technique & in the comfort of your own home, then click on the Page – Technique Treats – to purchase one of our treats.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happiest of Birthdays…

I am sharing a card I created some time ago by using one of our Technique Treats – Vellum.  I will be the first to admit I love playing with Vellum, but don’t use it as much as I should.   It always looks lovely on cards & so easy to use.

I’ve randomly stamped my images direct onto a piece of Whisper White & coloured with my Blender Pen.  I Dry Embossed a piece of Pool Party, adhered to a piece of Watermelon Wonder, wrapped a piece of Baker’s Twine around it before adhering to the Card Front.

The greeting has been done by using my Stampin’ Write MarkersMint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder & Memento Tuxedo Black.  If you don’t have Markers, you could easily mask off each word & stamp.

To create more cards using Vellum, click onto our Technique Page.

Don’t forget our next lot of Treats will be released tomorrow.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
