Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

G’Day Stampers,

Welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. You have just arrived from Tracy’s blog so thank you for joining me today.

The hop for February is all about Birthdays.  What a great theme as we can never have Hello-Cupcake-1---Insidetoo many birthday cards hey.

My card is one that we created a couple of weeks ago in one of our classes.  It is also one of the layouts I use time & time again, especially when doing the “Pleated Skirt”

As I wanted to showcase this gorgeous Happiness Blooms DSP, I thought this is the perfect way of doing so.  The DSP is available from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

I teamed the DSP with the Hello Cupcake from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration which you can earn FREE when you spend $90.00.  Now I have a confession to make.  I know the set is all about cupcakes, but to me they look like ice creams.

By clicking on the tutorial link below, you will be able to download it to create your own “Pleated Skirt”.

Click on the arrow below the photo to head over to Cheryl’s blog & see what she has created. Please see the list below the photo so that you can hop along & see everyone’s creations. You don’t want to miss any! Don’t forget to leave comments when you visit.

Botanical Butterfly DSP

Botanical-Butterfly-2 (3)G’Day Stampers,

Today I am sharing with you a card we created last Friday in our Cards @ Toogoom class.  It is a very simple & easy card but we’ve used the Spotlighting Technique which suits the Botanical Butterfly DSP perfectly.  Remember, this DSP can only be earnt FREE while Sale-A-Bration is happening when you purchase product to the value of $90.

Botanical-Butterfly-2---InsTo colour my DSP, I used the Watercolour Pencils, but you could also use the Stampin’ Blends, Aqua Painter, Sponge Daubers to create different effects.

In fact in the next couple of weeks I will show you others that I’ve created using this fun technique.

The Base Card is Thick Whisper White while touches of Lemon Lime Twist & Basic Black has been added to highlight the DSP even more.  The butterfly has been coloured using Watercolour Pencils.

To find out how I created my card, please click on the tutorial below.  It includes a product list, measurements – metric & imperial plus the tutorial.

Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

G’Day Stampers,

Thank you for joining me today as I am once again playing along with the February February-2019---LoveStamp ‘N Hop blog hop.

We are a group of SU! Demos from all over the world sharing their love of Stampin’ Up! You are able to join us if you like, but we do ask that you are a current SU! Demo & that you use current SU! products.

You may have arrived from Mo’s blog where I’m sure you would have seen her fantastic project.

Sunshine-Wishes---InsideThis month is all about “LOVE”.

I don’t do Valentines so I thought I would try & create a “love” card for the male in your life.

I decided to work with product that hasn’t been off the shelf for sometime so I went with Sunshine Wishes Framelits, Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set & of course my favourite Brushos.

I’m happy with how it turned out.  Not too feminine but not too manly.  In fact you could probably use it for either male or female.  Mind you, it could easily be turned into a Valentine’s card by changing out the sentiment.

Thanks again for visiting my blog. Next up is Jenna.  All you need to do is click the NEXT arrow below the photo.

In the event that you get lost, there is a Roll Call of everyone playing along.  All you have to do is click on the names & you will be taken to their blog.

Kylie’s International Blog Hop

G’Day Stampers.

Once again I am taking part in Kylie’s International Highlights Hop for February.

This month the theme is Encouragement.

I love sending out encouragement cards or “Just Because”.  Isn’t this one of the reasons we create?  Do you know of anyone you can send encouragement to?  Maybe a Get Well Soon – or WOW, You are Amazing, even a Thank You card?  I’m sure they would appreciate it.

I’ve had bits sitting on my desk that were waiting to be used.  They were either from previous cards that didn’t suit or just sitting waiting to be used.  So instead of ditching the pieces I thought I would try & create with what I had.  All I had to do was the Base Card!

The background has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The image is from the new set in the 2019 OccasionsAll That You Are“.  I think this set is perfect for our Stampin’ Blends.  The sentiment is from “Broadway Birthday” which was punched with the Classic Label Punch.

By clicking on the link below you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorial includes both the products used & the measurements (metric & imperial).

To vote for me, head onto Kylie’s Blog.  While there, why not check out all the lovely creations created by the other Demos who are playing along this month.

Global Stampin’ Friends

G’Day Stampers,

logo

Once again I am hoping along with the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop where it is Stamper’s Choice.

My card today is one I had created when I first received my pre-order (yes, it has been sitting on my desk for that long) waiting for me to decide what to do with it.

You may notice that there are no butterflies in the Bloom by Bloom Stamp Set but as I always stamp onto scrap paper first, I saw a few little butterflies popping out from the scrap paper & had to try them. Love it when you get multiple uses from our stamps, don’t you?

If you click on the link above the photo, you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own version.  The tutorial includes a list of products used, measurements (metric & imperial).

Hello Cupcake

G’Day Stampers,

You may have noticed that I haven’t been consistently blogging but hopefully from today that will change & I will be back into the swing of things.  Sometimes we just have to take a small break from things, recharge & refocus.

Friday was our first class back for 2019 & thought we would start off with a couple of easy cards as some of the class don’t usually create when we are on break – other things happening.  It was really great to get back into it & to see & hear what we had all been up to over the break.

Do you recognize this card from Page 6 of the 2019 SAB Brochure?  I love to case the catalogues for ideas .  Sometimes I will change them around to suit what I want, other times they will be exact while other times it is a starting point.

Anyhow I have used the Hello Cupcake for my card today.  Now to make a confession – to me this set reminds of ice creams so if you hear me talking about ice creams you know what I am on about!!!

Sandwich for Big Shot

I was sent this fantastic flyer the other day by the lovely Sharon. I thought it was so good that I would share it with you.

This is the perfect cheat sheet on how to layer your Dies & Embossing Folders to achieve the best result for your Big Shot.

Mind you, it is in the Annual Catalogue, Page 215 & 222 but this flyer is all together which means the Sandwiches are all in the one place.

Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

19601397_10155538715426757_1438043095150980541_n
G’Day Stampers,

Welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop.  You have just arrived from Pia’s blog so thank you for joining me today.

This month  is showcasing the 3 types of crafters/stampers –  Beginner, Casual and Avid.  This means that we needed to create 3 cards to show you the different stages of crafting.

I created my cards using the lovely Happiness Blooms Suite which is on Page 24 of the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.  I’ve used the Bloom by Bloom Stamp Set, Happiness Blooms DSP plus the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to create my cards.  All cards have been created with the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes.

Card #1 – Beginner

With 1 layer cards, I find that it is always best to keep them simple which is what I did with this card.  The stem was stamped direct onto the Whisper White Note Card with Call Me Clover Ink while the large flower is Lovely Lipstick Ink.  The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala Stamp Set & was stamped in Night of Navy Ink.

Card #2 – Casual

The stamping is exactly the same as Card 1 but was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock before being layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral  & then to the Whisper White Note Card.

To finish it off I randomly scattered 3 x Calypso Coral Enamel Dots.

Card #3 – Avid

Once again I stamped my images & sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock keeping with the same colours.  A piece of DSP was cut to about 1 1/4″ in height & adhered to a piece of Calypso Coral so that a small amount is showing along top.  This was then adhered to the stamped Whisper White, then layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral & finally to the Whisper White Note Card.

To finish it off, again I added 3 x Calypso Coral Enamel Dots, tied a small bow from Thick Whisper White Baker’s Twine which was adhered to the flower with a Mini Glue Dot.

I sure hope that you have enjoyed these cards & that they have inspired you in some way to play with our products.

Click on the arrow below to head over to Anastasia’s blog & see what she has created.  Please see the list below the photo so that you can hop along & see everyone’s creations. You don’t want to miss any!  Don’t forget to leave comments when you visit.
