Happy 80th Birthday

I meant to share the remainder of my aunt’s present a couple of weeks ago but completely forgot about it, but better late than never!

As promised today’s share is the card I created for Jill.  It was made to match the small box.  Again I’ve used the retired Parisian Breeze Speciality DSP, teamed it up with the same Pink Shimmer Card & used the lovely new Layering Square Framelits.  I can see myself using these so much.

For a bit of a different look, I decided to cut the DSP on an angle.  It is good to get out of 20160628_092346_resizedwm-byour comfort zone sometimes.  I added a stripe of Pear Pizzazz across the top to break it up a little.

I stamped “Happy th Birhday” direct onto a piece of Whisper White in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  The Whisper White had been cut with the Layering Squares Framelits as was the Shimmer Pink Card which it was layered onto.

The “80” was cut a number of times in Whisper White using the now retired “Little Numbers” Dies & then once in Shimmer Pink.  I layered the Whisper White to each other before finally adding the Pink Numbers to the top.  I wanted the Numbers to pop a little from the Card.

The Fern was cut from a scrap of Pear Pizzazz Card using the “Botanical Builder” Framelits before sponging with a Sponge Dauber.  The Flowers were cut from the same Shimmer Pink Card, sponged with Melon Mambo Ink.  The middles were cut from Whisper White Card & adhered to the centre of the larger flowers before being adhered to the Card Front.

The card was then layered direct on a Whisper white Card Base before adhering Pearls to the centre of the flowers & scattering small ones around the card.

Jill was very happy with her card & couldn’t believe how everything matched.  In fact, a couple of people asked me where I had purchased them gift as they had never seen anything like them.

Be sure to pop back to check out the Exploding Bag that went with it.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Remarkable You

Although my card today is a very simple one & with colours I don’t normally play with, I am rather happy with the final result.  I am really loving the Yellows & Greys together with#2---July lots of White Space & touches of Greens.

I played with the sketch from last month to create my card, along with DSP & Blender Pens, not to mention a little bit of fussy cutting but hey I love that bit!

The colours I used were Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz & Old Olive.  The DSP is Basic Grey from the Neutrals Paper Pack.  The Ribbon is retired but easily replaced with Twine, Card or  Washi Tape.

Don’t forget, the Free Tutorial to create your own card includes Measurements (Imperial & Metric) plus a list of Supplies used to create my card.

Until next time, Happy Sampin’

Happy Birthday

For today’s card I’ve used the “Best Birds Bundle” again!  I just can’t seem to get enough of this gorgeous Bundle.  There are so many gorgeous Bundles & Dies in Stampin’ Up!’s new #1---JuneCatalogue that I just can’t seem to decide which to purchase.  It is a case of wanting it all NOW!!!!!

I started off taking my inspiration from P52 of the Catalogue but then started to go along with the Sketch from last month.

If you haven’t tried using this simple sketch to create any cards, be sure to give it a go.  I am having heaps of fun using the sketch AND it has helped me get back into creating once again.

142315SWhen I first saw this Stamp Set, it reminded of Cherry Blossoms for some reason .  After using it a number of times I am now seeing small Frangipanis too.  Is anyone else seeing this?

Until next time,  Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

G’day Stampers,

Today, I have a new sketch for you to try out.  I’ve actually used the sketch to create my #2---Julycard for a special birthday.  By now, she will have received it.

Wishing you a very special & happy birthday Kim!  I hope you enjoy your card & had a great day.  I know it isn’t red, but I figure Melon Mambo is close enough hey.

I’ve created my card using the “Pop of Pink Suite” which includes the gorgeous Stamp Set – Pop of Paradise, the coordinating DSP – Pop of Pink & of course, the new Melon Mambo Thick Baker’s Twine.  Don’t you just love it when everything matches?

61d45579d73b6e4027aa941047f6e9bcWhy not have a go at the sketch yourself.  I am finding that I am wanting to create more as I have something to go by & no pressure put on myself.

All the measurements, supply list & tutorial is available for you to download by clicking on the link above the photo.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
