Happy Birthday

I created my card about 2 months ago when I first saw the fantastic “A Day at the Beach” Stamp Set in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.  It has images of a By Jingo (Icy Pole, Paddle Pop, etc), Thongs, Hat, Sunnies, etc all of which I think are very Beachy & Aussie!  I have so many ideas that I can’t seem to get them down on card quick enough.

Today’s card is one that sort of popped into my head immediately on seeing the Stamps.  It is a “Shaker Card” but with some of the stamps from the set – Sun, Thongs & By Jingo Images & represents our summers here in OZ.

I punched 3 circles into a piece of Whisper White Card with the 1″ Circle Punch before adhering a piece of Window Sheet behind each circle.

To create my Shakers I applied the great new Foam Adhesive Strips around each circle & filled them up with lots of bling, eg Sequin Trim, Sequins & even sand from the beach.

This piece was then adhered to a piece of Daffodil Delight Card & then to the Base Card – Whisper White.

I stamped “Happy Birthday” from “Crazy About You” Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry Ink direct onto Whisper White, layered it onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry before adhering across a section of the Card Front.

For the images I used my Blender Pen, Shimmer White Card & Memento Tuxedo Ink.  The Sun – Daffodil Delight Ink, Thongs – Flirty Flamingo & Rich Razzleberry Inks & the By Jingo – Daffodil Delight & Rich Razleberry Inks.  Each image was fussy cut & adhered to the circles.

To complete the card I popped a couple of small Rhinestones to each of my Thongs as well as the Card Front.

I will admit it is a little different but I’m happy with it!  I would like to know what you think about it too!

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’

Birthday Girl

When I created my card I am sharing with you today, all the items were current.  In fact, it 3 Juneis one of the cards created for our Pretty Pattern Papers which sees the release of the new Tutorial tomorrow, so be sure to head on back to grab your tutorial.

For my card I used the “Go Wild” DSP Stack (retired) to create my bags.  These were adhered to 3 separate pieces of Melon Mambo Card, a piece of Silver Cording Trim (retired) was used for the hands & pieces of Tissue adhere to the top of each bag.

I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder before layering onto a piece of Melon Mambo before layering onto the Base Card – Daffodil Delight.

The greeting from SAB 2016 “Hello” Stamp Set was stamped onto Whisper White in Melon Mambo, cut into shape before layering onto a piece of Basic Black & then across the card front.  The Bags were adhered to the Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the card I cut 3 small flowers from the “Botanical Builder” Framelits 1 x Whisper White, 1 x Daffodil Delight & 1 x Melon Mambo, adhered them to each bag & popped a small Rhinestone to the centre of each to finish the card.

A very simple card but one that shows you how to use those little pieces of DSP lying around but you don’t want to toss out.

For more ideas on how to use your DSP, pop on over to the Pretty Pattern Papers Page.

Until tomorrow, Happy Stampin’
