Black Magic

This is the fun technique we used on our card today at Crafty Creations.20140629_154722a

The ladies loved it & even though my flowers were red there was a lot of toing & froing as to what colour they would have their flowers.  In the end, everyone had a different colour.  They couldn’t believe how easy it was to do.

We used a retired Stamp Set – Secret Garden which was perfect for our card.  The greeting was done via MDS & punched with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle & the 1″ Circle Punches.  The ribbon I found hanging in my cupboard just waiting for the perfect time to be used!

For the Black Rhinestones, I coloured Clear Rhinestones with a Black Permanent Marker.

“Happy Birthday to You”

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Card # 2

Today’s card is our 2nd card we created in our “Rock n’ Roll” Technique last Sunday. I will admit this is not my original idea – I found this gorgeous card on Pinterest & decided to put my own spin on it including a Fancy Fold.  Thank you for your inspiration.  031a

With the Fancy Fold spin, I saw this card & sat & worked it out.  I have actually created it to fit our standard envelopes in Oz.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Friday’s Crafty Creations

We created our card from retired SU! DSP which was SAB 2013!  Yep, I still have a stack left, but it gets a lot of use by doing the Markets & Crafty 001aCreations.  Any card I create using this paper seems to sell immediately.  I will be very sad to see the last of it used, especially the dotty side of it.

I even managed to use the Pinwheel Sizzlits which has since been retired, but love it when I can reuse again.

Instead of a normal fold, I folded the Base Card about an inch from the bottom so that the Rich Razzleberry DSP & the greeting are actually stuck to the bottom of the inside card.  I embossed a layer of Whisper White with the Cloud EF, lightly sponged the embossed images with Pool Party Ink to bring out the clouds a little before adhering to the Base Card top.

016aI cut a circle from the top layer of DSP using the Circles Framelits Collection, run a piece of Ribbon from the circle to the edge of the DSP, tucked the ends undercut a frame from Summer Starfruit (Retired) by placing the same Circle Framelit & the next size up, ran it through the BS prior to attaching around the Base circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I created the Pinwheel by using the Pinwheel Sizzlit & holding it together with a Silver Mini Brad prior to adhering to centre of Circle with a Glue Dot.  Since the photo was taken, I have actually embossed the Brad by rubbing Versamark onto the top of the Brad & heat setting with Pool Party EP & Heat Tool.  It actually makes the centre pop a little.

I finished the top of the card by tying a small bow & adhering with a Glue Dot.

For the bottom part of the card, I adhered a small piece of DSP to a piece of Whisper White015a CS prior to adhering to the inside card.  I then stamped “Happy Birthday” (from another retired Stamp Set) with Island Indigo Ink, punched it out with Word Label Punch & adhered to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m still in 2 minds about the Rich Razzleberry DSP part of it, but I suppose it will grow on me or hey, I could always change it too.

My New Blog…

Welcome to my new blog!

A little bit scary as it is a new platform for me so please be patient & bear with me while I get it all sorted, looking & running the way I would like.

First up is one of the cards we created in our Technique Class yesterday.  Our technique was “Double Embossing”.  A fun technique, one which can take some time to set up, but one that gives you a gorgeous final result.  We also used some of the outgoing “In Colours” – GumBall Green, Raspberry Ripple & Primrose Petals.

The ladies loved the card – which is always a good sign!
