Day 12 – Animal Expedition

Animal-Expedition-1---CloseG’Day Stampers,

Sorry I missed yesterday – life just goes that way sometimes.

So, today I am sharing with you the 2nd card using the fun Animal Expedition DSP whichAnimal Expedition - 19.25 is part of the “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion.  There are only 3 days left to take advantage of this.

This suite is close to my heart as it brings back so many happy memories.  My Dad worked out of town during the week which meant he left Sunday arvos & would be home Friday night.

We would all “help” him to back his swag Sunday although looking back I think we were more of a hindrance than a help but he didn’t seem to mind.

Anyhow, usually when he arrived home on the Friday night, he would sometimes carefully place his ?moving” swag on the floor which meant there was something usually Animal-Expedition-1---Insidalive in it.  With excited anticipation we would gently unwrap it to find a joey wrapped up safe & sound fully aware that its mother had been killed.  Dad never went past a dead animal on the side of the road without checking for a pouch.   He still stops & checks to this day which means I now do the same!

Our yard was always full of orphaned joeys, lambs, birds, etc but my favourite was & still is the kangaroo.  Imagine my surprise when SU! brought out this fantastic Animal Expedition Suite!  I think it was just for me!

Anyhow, I decided to keep the card simple although I’ve used a few bright colours of Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist to create my card.  I’ve toned the colours down by adding a little Vellum over the top of the DSP.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download your free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorial includes a list of supplies & measurements (metric & imperial).

Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

DSP---Share-What-You-Love--

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am taking part in a brand new blog hop, well new to me although I have been a member for a few months.  It is a group of SU! Demos from all over the world sharing July---DSPtheir love of Stampin’ Up!.  You are able to join us if you like, but we do ask that you are a current SU! Demo & that you use current products, no matter what skill level you may be.

Our theme this month is our Favourite DSP.  There are so many gorgeous new DSP in the catalogue that it was very hard to choose.  I literally just closed my eyes & let my fingers do the “walking” so to speak & they come up the gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty DSP.

Love-What-You-Do-1My card is one I often create as I love the layout & it is just so quick & simple.  It looks great cut into how may pieces you wish although you have to ensure you match them up when adhering to Cardstock.

To create my card I team it up with the Pearlized Doilies & the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls – So Saffron.  The DSP has been layered onto Basic Black Cardstock & then to the So Saffron Base Card.

My 2nd card is created exactly the same way using another piece of the same DSP.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download your free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorial includes a list of supplies & measurements (metric & imperia

As from Monday next week I will be showcasing our gorgeous DSP with lots of lovely ideas each day, so be sure to pop on back to check them out!

Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop & thank you for visiting.  logoWe are a group of card makers from all over the world who love to create.  This month the challenge is all about the spanking, brand new Annual Catalogue.  If you haven’t heard by now the new catalogue went live yesterday so be sure to contact your nearest Demonstrator for a copy.

You have come via the very talented Sharon who does amazing work especially with her scrapbooking.

Dragonfly-Dreams-1---InsideFor my card today I opted to go very simple & showcase a couple of the new In Colours – Lovely Lipstick & Pineapple Punch Inks & boy do they have a “punch”.   I will say I am not a Brights’ girl, but I am loving these colours.  I teamed the Inks with Basic Black, Whisper White & Lovely Lipstick Cardstock along with a set that has carried over – Dragonfly Dreams.

My dragonfly has been heat embossed using VersaMark & Clear Emboss Powder.  I love embossing my shapes this way as it sort of packs a bit of a “punch” to your projects.

By clicking on the link above the photo, you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own version.  The tutorial includes a list of products used, measurements (metric & imperial) plus a tutorial for the card.

G’Day & welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where this month’s theme is New Annual Sneak Peek!  Who doesn’t love seeing sneak peeks & what is coming up in the new catalogue?  I know I do!

My inspiration came from a couple of sources.  One being a challenge that our FB Group has going as well as a sample in the new catalogue.  Mind you, it wasn’t planned that way.  It is just the way things pan out sometimes.

For my card I’ve used the Bubble Over Stamp Set along with the Bottles & Bubbles Bubble-Over-4---InsideFramelits which are both returning.  I’ve teamed it up with the 2018-2020 In Colour 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Oh how I love this DSP with all the lovely dots & stripes!  I’ve also used lots of lovely In Colours – Lemon Lime Twist, Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel & Berry Burst Inks.

I hope you have enjoyed my creation today & it has inspired you to create your own.

By clicking on the link above the photo, you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own version.  The tutorial includes a list of products used, measurements (metric & imperial) plus a tutorial for the card.

Just Getting Started Bundle

Love-what-You-Do-3---Close-

G’Day Stampers,

A couple of days ago I shared with you a card I cased from the Just Getting Started Bundle which is perfect for you for that exact reason – if you are just getting started!  Today is another card created using the same Bundle.  Don’t you love it when you can create different cards but using the same supplies except for a little change here & there?

Included in this Bundle is the Love What You Do Stamp Set, Old Olive Ink, Grapefruit Love-What-You-Do-3---InsideGrove Ink (new In Colour), Clear Block E, Very Vanilla Cardstock AND Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes.  All I’ve done is scattered a few Pearl Basic Jewels around the front & added a small bow using Linen Thread.

The above products will be available once the new catalogue goes live, but the Bundle will not!

I have actually created this card as part of the CASEing Tuesday challenge which is new to me.  Last week it was the card on Page 37 of the Annual Catalogue.  Don’t forget to use your catalogues for inspiration.  You will be amazed at what you can create.

Clicking on the link below you are able to download your free tutorial to create your own version

Love What You Do

Love-What-You-Do-2---Close-

G’Day Stampers,

I certainly hope all the mums in Australia had a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday.

Today’s card is one that I’ve cased from the Share What You Love Suite which is the Just Getting Started BundleOf course, I added my own spin on it but you could always add extras with what you have in your own stash.

This card & Bundle prove that you don’t have to have a lot of product to create pretty Love-what-You-Do-2---Insidecards.  Best thing about the Bundle is that the Love What You Do Stamp Set, Grapefruit Grove (new In Colour) & Old Olive Inks plus Very Vanilla Cardstock, Very Vanilla Note Cards (1 of my favourites) & even a Clear Block to get you started are all included.

Advantages of this Pre-Order include having one of the new In Colours early so that you can out the new style ink pad & new catalogue product early.  Who doesn’t love that?.

Although the products will be available once the new catalogue goes live, the Bundle will not!

By clicking on the link below you are able to download your free tutorial to create your own version

I have another card to share with you using the same Bundle so be sure to pop back in a few days.

Don’t forget when shopping online to use the new May Host Code.
