Oh Hello Friend

Oh-So-Eclectic---Rose-Red--

I’m sharing with you a card I created for a game we had on our Facebook Page last week.  I am a little late in posting this as I had to make a quick trip to Brisbane on the weekend.

I love the Oh So Eclectic Bundle & as it was sitting on my desk from another project I decided to go with it  I’m really happy with the way it turned out, especially the flowers as I’ve added Perfect Plum to the inner petals to highlight them a little.  Never be afraid to play & experiment with colours.  You will be surprised at how they turn out!October

If you click on the link below you will be able to download a tutorial so that you create your own card.

Well, for this blog hope, it is the sameOh-So-Eclectic1---Close-Up theme but creating a new project.  I have had my card sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now wondering how to fix a huge blunder but I think I have managed to cover it.  Can you pick it?  Hint – it is now covered by the 3 Facted Gems…..  Love it when you can cover mistakes!

Heya Stampers,

Today’s post is a very easy card using the “Oh So Eclectic” Stamp Set, which I actually cased from here.  I especially loved the colours, layout & how she stamped the flowers.  So easy but very striking with a WOW factor.  Thank you so much for your inspiration!

I actually didn’t change much at all as it was perfect the way it was, except I used Very Vanilla Card, changed out the greeting & I stamped a small image in amongst the flowersOh-So-Eclectic---inside from the same set.

The set is a 2-step stamping technique.  The beauty about this technique?  The images don’t have to be perfectly lined up with each other.

The flower outline was randomly stamped direct onto a piece of Very Vanilla using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before stamping the matching solid image over the top using Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist Inks.  I then randomly stamped the small dotty image around the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I stamped “Daughter” from the “Thoughtful Banners” Stamp Set onto scrap Very Vanilla.  The label outline was stamped using Berry Burst Ink before punching with the Classic Label Punch.

I layered the stamped card to a piece of Basic Black, then onto a piece of Lemon Lime Twist & finally to the Base Card – Berry Burst before popping on the sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.

Until next time, Happy Stampin!

Oh So Eclectic

Heya Stampers,

Today, I am sharing with you a card I created from a left over piece of Watercolour PaperOh,-So-Eclectic-inside I had used on a card a couple of days ago.  Instead of wasting it, I thought it would be great to try & use the piece on something.  As I had the “Naturally Eclectic” DSP sitting on my desk, it suddenly hit me that the colours matched perfectly with the DSP.  Don’t you love it when this happens?

I chose to colour my flower using the Blender Pen along with Sweet Sugarplum & Berry Burst Inks which by the way coordinate with the lovely DSP.  I added Clear Wink of Stella to the flower which blended & highlighted the colours a little more as well as adding a bit of sparkle to it.

Oh,-So-Eclectic-close-upFor the inside of my card, I cut a piece of the DSP, adhered a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card to one side, layered it onto a piece of Whisper White Card before adhering to the inside of the Base Card – Night of Navy.

Do you recognize it?  It is from the front of the Annual Catalogue.  Not much difference, but I have managed to add my own interpretation to it.  Don’t forget to use the Catalogue for inspiration.

There is a free tutorial for you by clicking on the link below to create your own card.  It includes a list of supplies used on the card plus measurements (metric & imperial).

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

254. Happy Birthday – Oh, So Eclectic

Oh,-So-Eclectic---Happy-Bir

Oh, Hello Friend

I have been playing lots with the Embossing Paste the last few weeks – loving this stuff &Oh-So-Eclectic-inside also working on a couple of Creative Card Classes.  One of the classes will be using the Paste, so be sure to book your spot.

I teamed the paste up with my new Oh, So Eclectic Bundle which only come in the post last week & has been sitting on my desk waiting & waiting.

Creative Cards are held the 1st & 2nd Tuesday of the month or the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month…..  You can find all the details on the Classes/Workshop Page.

My card today is so way out of my comfort zone with all the oranges of Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, So Saffaron & Garden Green.  I am so happy with the card that I have actually decided to include it in one of the classes in the next Oh,-So-Eclectic---close-upmonth or so.  Mind you, it doesn’t look much but it has taken me hours to finally create it what with all the playing & changing of colours, but hey that is the fun part of creating.

The flowers have been coloured & blended with my good ol’ Blender Pen.  I don’t know what I would do without it.  I then highlighted the flowers with a little Clear Wink of Stella.  It brings out he colours so much more.

The leaves were stamped using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & again coloured with Old Olive Ink & Blender Pen.  The Old Olive is a nice contrast against the Garden Green background.

I will let you in on a little secret, the circle was not originally on the card which meant the flowers were sort of lost in the background, so I sponged a die cut circle in So Saffron, popped them on & then onto the card.  Made all the difference as it now looks like a completely different card.

I’m not gonna be mean & not share the tutorial today, so don’t forget to click on the link below to grab it so you, too can create a card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
