It is a very special day in Australia today. Not only is it ANZAC Day but it is 100 years since the landing of Gallipoli . It is the day we commemorate our fallen service personnel, especially those from Gallipoli & the Western Front.
While reading this I will be out catching up with old mates & hearing stories from the old diggers (which I love). Mind you, they are more than interested in any of the younger generation who have served our country too. It is a very humbling experience & brings goose bumps to my body, especially during the Dawn Service. This year I am heading into the “big smoke” (city) for the service.
To find out why ANZAC is so special to us – please follow the link below as it really gives a great explanation –

THANK YOU to all those ex-service & servicing men & women, especially those that fought for our country & to those who gave their life so that we may have the freedom we have today.
“We will remember them”
Thank you so much for sharing ANZAC Day with us in the USA. The history is very fascinating, and a wonderful way to remember your fallen soldiers. Thank you again. Debie from sunny California. Date: Fri, 24 Apr 2015 22:05:05 +0000r
It is my pleasure Debie. It is a very special day in Oz, much like your Remembrance Day! We were all out in force this year being the 100 years. Service personnel do a fantastic job world wide!
