Falling Flowers

G’day Friends,

It has seemed like forever since my last post, so fingers crossed, I will be posting again  as from this week.

I thought I would share with you a card I did for my friend & downline some time ago.20160911_103016_resizedblog  Naomi held her very first Workshop way back in early October & it was a huge success.  Good on you Naomi.  Bring on 2017!

Sorry there is no tutorial for you to print today as the card was rushed off in the mail the day I created it.  I am going to try & remember what I did from the photo, so please be kind to me.

I used the “Ghosting” Technique on the panel of my card which is Technique Treat #6.

I randomy stamped the large image from the “Falling Flowers” Stamp Set onto a piece of Whisper White Card in VersaMark Ink allowing it to dry a little. With a Stamping Sponge, I sponged a piece of Whisper White Card with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie Inks before adhering to a panel of Basic Black Card.  The piece was layered onto a piece of Whisper White before layering onto the Base Card – Basic Black.

I stamped the Flower Images & the Leaf Images onto scraps of Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Ink, coloured them with my Blender Pen using Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Inks.  The were then die cut with the coordinating “May Flowers” Framelits by running through the Big Shot before adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals & Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

From memory I may have even gone over the flowers with the Clear Wink of Stella to give it a lift.

It is a very simple card but I think with the sponged panel it gives it a “WOW” factor.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

  1. Beautiful card. I bet Naomi loved it and congratulations to her (and you) on her first workshop.

  2. Hi Vicky, love this card, you are so clever. Thank you also for your lovely Xmas card. I am really interested in purchasing the beautiful Star of Light bundle.

Do you think it will still be available after Xmas? I can’t afford it at the moment.

If you could let me know, I might have to rob Peter to pay Paul.

Take care and have a wonder filled Christmas, than you for everything during the year.

    Love

    Mary x
