Birthday Blossoms

Today’s card is one of the many we created over a month in our class when we played with the Retifom Technique – which you can find the tutorial here.

The class was split into pairs which mean we worked on 4 lots of cards at once. I thought it would be utter chaos but much to my surprise it worked our perfectly & we seemed to fly through the classes in record time. Birthday-Blooms-1---Inside

We used a few of the retiring In Colours to create our card – Emerald Envy & Peekaboo Peach Inks & Cardstock.

This technique is a little addictive as each time you play you will end up with a different look which is what happened in our classes.

Today I am sharing with you one of the cards we created last week in our class. It is using the lovely Daisy Delight Stamp Set the Daisy Punch & the equally lovely Delightful Daisy DSP. The DSP is retiring at the end of June so if you want it I would suggest you Daisy-Delight---Inside grab it now.

It’s a simple little card but I don’t think you need a lot with this Suite as the product does all the work for you.

Stampin’ Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop

retiringproductsbloghop Thank you for joining me today. I’m pretty excited as this is the first time I’ve been a part of the RemARKably Created Blog Hop which is open to all SU! Demonstrators from around the globe. I have looked at the hop for a while now & thought this the perfect time to hop along. This month it is all about Retiring Products! Thank you so much Janet for making this possible.

As always at the start of a new catalogue year, there is so much that I THINK I am going to miss, but seem to get over very quickly as all the new “stuff” starts to arrive & before I know it I am once again, busy playing with my new “stuff” that the retired product is long forgotten.

I thought I would share with you one of my all time favourite Sets – Rose Wonder along with the matching Rose Garden Thinlits. I am sure going to miss these items, but no doubt Stampin’ Up! will have much bigger & better things available for us to purchase.

To start off with I stamped the flower onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, coloured with Pink Pirouette & Old Olive Stampin’ Blends (available once again in the new catalogue) before die cutting the rose outline & adhering over the top of the stamped image.

Kylie’s International Top Ten February Winners Blog Hop

I was one of the lucky ones who made it to the top ten in Kylie’s International Blog Hop last month with this card using the Petal Palette. Because of your vote, I get to hop along with 9 other lucky Demos. Thank you to everyone who voted for me. It is very much appreciated.

Once again our theme is “Sale-a-Bration and Occasions Catalogue Product”..

While creating this card for the hop, it suddenly occurred to me that it could go in the Springtime-Foil-DSP---Flowe mail today for a friend who is celebrating her birthday.

I am loving the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP from the SAB 2nd release & available while stocks last. It is perfect for colouring, fussy cutting, backgrounds & just about everything else you can think of.

I’ve coloured a couple of the flowers from the DSP with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut & adhered to the card front. The silver bling is actually Rhinestone Basic Jewels covered with VersaMark & heat set with Silver Emboss Powder. I wanted something a little different & to match in with this gorgeous paper.

Once again, I am taking part in Kylie’s International Blog Highlights where our theme this month is our favourite Sale-A-Bration Or Occasions Catalogue Product. This is the perfect time to celebrate, showcase & see all our lovely products!

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights? It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight. It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

I was playing around with the lovely Petal Passion Suite the other day creating a couple of future classes when an idea sort of popped into my head & of course I had to go for it. The Suite includes the lovely Petal Palette Stamp Set, Petals & More Thinlits Dies, Petal Passion DSP, Petal Passion Embellishments, Whisper White Organza Ribbon & of course the Petal Pair Embossing Folders. I’ve used all the mentioned except for the Ribbon.

I’ve kept my card all Whisper White except for touches of Cherry Cobbler which I think only highlights the Whisper White even more.
