Happy Birthday Gorgeous

One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being able to pre-order items 20170530_143734blog-close-ufrom the new Catalogue which means my team was able to create swaps using new products.

Today I am sharing with you one of the lovely cards created by Naomi using the gorgeous “Happy Birthday” Bundle which includes the “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” Stamp Set & the matching “Happy Birthday” Thinlits Die.  Don’t you just love it?

The card also features the lovely new “Colour Theory” DSP Stack.  I can see this stack being very popular with everyone.

“It’s Your Day” has been Heat Embossed using the Whisper White Emboss Powder.

Goodbye Playful Palette

Let’s face it, this time of the year we usually have stacks of that lovely DSP left that we just didn’t dare cut into.  BUT now, we’re sort of stuck with heaps of it sitting on our shelves.  I’m not sure but over the past few weeks, I’ve been creating with lots of that pretty DSP.

Yep, this is another that is retiring at the end of May.  I will miss “Playful Palette” DSP Stack.  It took me a long time to warm to it, even though it was purchased in my pre-order, I just couldn’t get my head around it.  This little beauty is a DSP Paper Stack & I love them!

215. Celebrate You – Birthday Blossoms

I found a new challenge blog (new to me) yesterday over at What Will You Stamp?  Theywwys_112_Carousel Birthday list a stamp set to use each challenge which I thought was a little different.  I am just scrapping this card in as the challenge closes in an hour.

This week they are asking that we create a project using the “Carousel Birthday” Stamp Set which is from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

For my card I decided to do the “Chalkboard” Technique which I hadn’t done for sometime.  I always love the finished look of this technique.

Thank you for a great challenge & a change to play with this fantastic set once again.  I have created a couple more cards using this set so don’t forget to pop on back to check them out in the next couple of days.

216. Happy Birthday – Carousel Birthday

Global Design Project…

… meets Custom Tee.

I sat myself down yesterday to clean up my craft desk but instead got into more of a mess as I decided to play along with the challenge over at “Global Design Project” where the theme was –

Let’s face it – we all love a little Sparkle or Bling on our projects.

Trying to get the most out of the items from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue & seeing as though the “Custom Tee” Bundle was already sitting on my desk, I decided to go with what was on the desk.

I’ve used the “Carousels & Cupcakes” DSP Stack along with Very Vanilla, So Saffron, 20170418_134209blog-insideBermuda Bay & Early Espresso Cardstock.  I wrapped the Ribbon around the DSP after I had cut the circle using the Layering Circles Framelits.

To highlight the T-Shirt, I added colour to the piece of Very Vanilla Card by using my Aqua Painter & So Saffron Ink.  It doesn’t show up much on the photo because of it being Very Vanilla, but it pops the Shirt.

As the theme was Sparkles & Bling, I decided to add bling around the neckline & randomly down the right hand side of the card.  I also added a small Rhinestone to each side of the sentiment.

The sentiment is from the same Bundle, but I masked off the candles either side, inked with Bermuda Bay Ink, removed the mask & stamped onto scrap Very Vanilla, punched with the Classic Label Punch before adhering to the Card Front.

Everyday Hero

I’m not sure if you have seen the “Everyday Hero” Stamp Set in the 2017 Occasions 20170313_092430_resizedblogCatalogue or not but I am loving it!  I will be honest & say I haven’t created too many cards with it but the ones I have, I love.

Toda’s card is one I created a couple of weeks ago as part of our FB Page challenge.  Challenges are a good way to get your creative juices flowing & ideas forming in your head.  There are plenty out there, so why not play along with one.  In fact I have posted the sketch over on my FB Page for you to play along.  Check it out!

I’ve also done a little bit of colouring using the Watercolour Pencils & Blender Pen.
