Kylie’s International Blog Highlights

My post today is a little different in that I am participating in Kylie Betucci’s International Blog Highlights.  This is the first time I’ve done this, so hopefully we will get it all right.

What is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.  Each month Kylie has a different theme & this month is “Weddings“.

Vote for Me HereWhat is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other talented successful demonstrators.

My card has been created using Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum & Mint Macaron CS.  I am loving the all White…..  My flowers have been created from Whisper White CS, die cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits, & sponged with Sweet Sugarplum Ink & a Sponge Dauber.  The leaves are die cut from Mint Macaron CS using the Rose Garden Thinlits.  “Congratulations” is from the “Floral Phrases” Stamp Set & is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.

Congrats to You

My card today is one I created for Kathy, a new Downline who signed up about 2 or 3 weeks ago.  I decided to create a small gift for her which included a card using some of the lovely 4-februaryproduct from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.   Welcome to the team Kathy!

After creating the card I also realised that it went in with one of our challenges.  Don’t you love it when that happens?

It’s a simple card but one showcasing the lovely “Falling in Love” DSP, page 51 & the fantastic “That’s the Tag” Bundle which includes “That’s the Tag” Stamp Set & “Timeless Tags” Thinlits, page 23.

Congratulations

I haven’t posted in a little while due to being ill, although not 100% well, I thought I would try & start posting again.  There is nothing like the feeling of excitement & sitting down to your craft desk, ready to create & “BLANK”.  Luckily, that didn’t happen with this card.

My card today is one I sent to a friend, Naomi who recruited her very 1st recruit a couple of weeks ago.  I couldn’t post this card until she received it.

I thought the “Lift Me Up” Bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue was perfect for her card.  The Bundle includes the “Lift Me Up” Stamp Set & the “Up & Away” Thinlit Dies.  There is also coordinating “Carried Away” DSP in the 2017 SAB Catalogue.  Don’t you just love it when SU! make it so easy to create?

To create my card, I watercoloured the bottom part of a piece of Shimmery White with Pear20170131_054021_resizedblog-2 Pizzazz Ink & Aqua Painter.  I then did the sky in Soft Sky & Pool Party Inks along with the Aqua Painter.

Once it was dry, I masked off the top part of the sentiment “………… Congratulations” with Sticky Tape, inked the “Congratulations” in Memento Tuxedo Ink, removed the mask & stamped direct onto the coloured card.  The card was then layered onto the Base Card – Calypso Coral.

The clouds were stamped onto scraps of Whisper White using Soft Sky Ink before cutting with the coordinating Cloud Thinlit Die by running through the Big Shot.  The Balloons were stamped onto scrap Whisper White, the large one in Marina Mist Ink & the smaller one in Calypso Coral Ink.  They were then cut using the Thinlit Dies by running through the Big Shot.

Both the Balloons & Clouds were adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As I have a saying with my team “Onwards & Upwards“, I wanted to include it on the card, so I cut a piece of Whisper White down to the size I wanted, wrote the words with a Project Life Journaling Pen & cut them to size before adhering to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s a very simple card but one that I am happy with.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky

Technique Treats #13

I’m happy to say our next lot of Technique Treats are alive for you to purchase.  You will adore these cards.  We are playing at creating our own Marbled Paper using Shaving Cream & Marbles.  Well, in my case Sinkers, as I don’t have any Marbles, but I do have heaps of fishing gear. Just goes to show you can compromise with what you have on hand.

Thank you everyone for your patience, it has been very much appreciated & thank you to those of you who emailed me with your good wishes.  They were very much appreciate too.

I would also like to take the time to thank everyone who purchased our treats last month.  Naomi & I were blown away. I’m not sure whether it was the Techniques or Stamp Set but either way, thank you.

This month we are playing with the lovely “Falling in Love” Stamp Set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.  This set is perfect for all occasions, eg wedding, engagement, anniversary or just because.  As I’ve said, you will love the cards created using the Techniques & the Stamp Set.

Don’t forget all our Technique Treats are perfect if you want to play in the comfort of your home or if you are a SU! Demonstrator who would love to teach a Technique Class – all the work is done for you!  Just head over to the Technique Teats Page to purchase your Treat.

Kay (USA) says –  “Thank you so much for making such wonderful tutorials!!!”

Kris (Brisbane) – “Great card and the Technique Treats are really great”.

Both Kay & Kris are SU! Demonstators, so thank you ladies for your lovely comments.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Congratulations..

… Jess & Ange. tgif-jan-2017-challenges-001

My nephew got engaged 2 weeks ago so I thought I would try & create a lovely card for them.  When I saw the challenge over at TGIFC I knew it was perfect & the perfect excuse to play with some of my new “stuff” that has sort of been sitting in a box on the floor.

My flower was stamped onto Very Vanilla Card with Sweet Sugarplum Ink, coloured with Pink Pirouette & Sweet Sugarplum Markers, blended a little with the Blender Pen & fussy cut.  I’m happy with how it turn out.   It was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional, along with the lovely Lace Doily which is White one side & Vanilla the other.

20170116_063416_resizedinsiTo make it stand out a little more, I then decided to die cut a couple of leaves using the May Flowers Framelits from Sahara Sand Card (love this colour).  They were adhered under the flower.

For the inside, I used a little of same lovely “Falling in Love” DSP as the front along with the gorgeous Ribbon which was adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla & then to the inside.

I hope they like the card & thank you to TGIFC for your great challenge.
