Thinking of You

Heartfelt-Blooms---Close-Up

My post today is a very simple one but I think the colours of Fresh Fig & Flirty Flamingo make it pop!  I wasn’t sure how the 2 colours would work together but I think they compliment each other.  It is also one of the cards we created in our class last Friday.

This set is from 2018 Sale-A-Bration & is the new Stampin’ Up! “DistINKive” Stamp Set!  The floral image lays down your ink at different opacities giving the image of a photograph.  If you haven’t seen the video, check it out here –

If you click on the link below, you will be able to download a tutorial for you to create your own card.  The tutorial includes list of products & measurements, both metric & imperial.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

316. Thinking of You – Heartfelt Blooms

Thinking of You

I thought I would share with you a card I did some time ago to highlight our Technique TreatsSponging but never got round to sharing it.

To create my card I sponged Watermelon Wonder, Hello Honey & Tip Top Taupe Inks directly onto a piece of Whisper White Card. I then spritzed water over the top with a Stampin’ Sprizter.  The trees from “Lovely as a Tree” were stamped directly over the top using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I then layered the sponged card onto a piece of Tip Top Taupe Card before layering direct onto a piece of Whisper White. The sentiment was stamped direct onto the Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

A piece of Linen Thread was wrapped twice around the card tying a small bow before being layered onto Base Card – Watermelon Wonder.

It’s a very simple card but one with a bit of a punch, I think.008-(3)wm-blog

Hello Honey has since been retired but you could subsitite the colour for Delighful Dijon or Crushed Curry.

Don’t forget, you are able to purchase this Technique from our Technique Teats Page to create 4 more cards using the Sponging Technique & “Lovely as a Tree” Stamp Set.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Sheltering Tree

My card today was one we created in our Technique Class some weeks ago – Block Stamping!  The class loved it!

I saw a similar card on Pinterest some time ago, but of course when I went to link back, couldn’t find it, but thank you so much for your inspiration.  I did change mine a little, including the layout.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Thinking of You…

I created this card for a challenge, but also with a friend in mind.  When I went to post it to the challenge site, I couldn’t remember what challenge it was.  Is it just me or does this happen to anyone else?

It is not one of those cards we like to create but none the less, we do them.  I thought I would add “Thinking of You” instead of leaving blank or “With Sympathy”.

Again, I don’t have any measurements or tutorial, as I was in a hurry to get it in the post.  However, I did consult my Colour Coach for my colours.

I embossed a piece of Pool Party CS with the Decorative Dots EF, wrapped a piece of Whisper White Stitched Satin Ribbon along the left hand side, prior to layering to a piece of Whisper White & finally to the Base Card – Old Olive.  I tied a small bow & adhered to top of Ribbon with a Glue Dot.

I used the gorgeous Hostess Set – Floral Wings.  The butterfly was stamped n Pool Party, flowers in Perfect Plum & the leaves in Old Olive Inks prior to running through the Big Shot with the corresponding Bold Butterfly Thinlits.

I decided that I was going to inlay my Butterfly back into a piece of Card, so I then placed the Oval Framelits over the top of the cut out Butterfly by running it through the Big Shot. I adhered a piece of scrap Whisper White Card to the cut out Oval Butterfly shape & adhered the stamped butterfly into the shape ensuring it all matched in.

The whole piece was then adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White in Memento Black Ink, cut into a Banner Shape one end & adhere to the Card Front.

I completed the card by adhering Pearls down the side of the sentiment as well as the butterfly centre.

I hope you like my card today.  Be sure to check back in a couple of days for my 2nd one.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Wetlands…

… meets the great Technique – Masking!

Today’s card is one we created last Sunday in our Technique Class.  I decided that we would play with a few Masking Techniques – so many options.  The class loved the simple, yet effective card we created AND it could be used for make or female.

This class will be repeated next month, so be sure to check out the dates on the Classes/Workshop page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
