Friends Never Fade…

I’ve created the card for today using the sketch over at Utah Divas International  Very nice and easy one.  I had so many options going through my head for this sketch that I finally settled on “Friends Never Fade” stamp set along with the matching DSP – Greenhouse Gala.  Isn’t it great that SU® have stamp sets & DSP that match?  The hard work is really gone out of trying to think of what goes with what!

Cut Chocolate Chip Cardstock Cardstock to form card base
Adhere DSP – Greenhouse Gala to base
Cut piece of Baja Breeze Cardstock & adhere to DSP as per sketch
Using Chocolate Chip ink, stamp image – Friends Never Fade – onto Whisper White Cardstock, cut & adhere to Baja Breeze
Stamp 2 flower images onto Whisper White Cardstock, one in Baja Breeze & the other using Chocolate Chip
Cut out & using 2-Way Glue, apply Dazzling Diamonds around the middle of the flowers
Adhere Chocolate Chip Flower to Baja Breeze Cardstock
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere Baja Breeze slightly over the top of Chocolate Chip flower

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Friends Never Fade
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Cardstock – Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
DSP – Greenhouse Gala
Accessories – Snail Glue, 2-Way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds,
Stampin’ Dimensionals
How easy can a card be to create?
Until next time, Enjoy!

Cheers to You…

G’Day Stampers,

I hope you all had a great Christmas, despite the floods in Qld & the snow in parts of USA & Europe.  To think that Perth has Bush Fires!

Today’s card is from the sketch over at Stamping 411 and as usual a great one to use in creating a card or project.

For my card, I used supplies from the current Summer Mini Catalogue.  I cut my Cardstock – So Saffron and adhered Regal Rose to the top of it.  I then cut a piece of DSP – Island Oasis – to adhere to the top of Regal Rose.

Using my Scallop Trim Punch, I punched both top & bottom of the Tempting Turquoise Cardstock and adhered a piece of So Saffron across the middle of it.

I then stamped the sentiment from “Cheers to You” in Chocolate Chip directly onto the So Saffron.  Inking the branch in Old Olive from the Stamp Set “Tropical Party”, I stamped a couple of random images directly onto the So Saffron.

I inked the coconut from the same Stamp Set, coloured the umbrella & straw using my Watercolour Pencils, cut around the image & adhered over the top of the branches using SU® Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp Set – Cheers to You, Tropical Party*
Inks – Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Cardstock – Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Rose Red

Just for You…

I hope you are enjoying looking at the cards I have been creating for these challenges as I’ve enjoyed making them.
Today’s card is for yet another Challenge – this time over at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/  Looks pretty involved, but….
For my card, I used the gorgeous DSP Elegant Soiree.  Sometimes I don’t want to touch it as it is so lovely, then other times, I just want to create.
Using my Corner Punch, I rounded the opposite corners of the DSP & adhered onto my card base, Baja Breeze.  I repeated the process for the smaller piece of DSP & adhered onto Basic Grey Cardstock.  This I adhered to the card base.  I then cut a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock, cut a “V” & adhered over the top.
I cut another piece of DSP & adhered to Basic Grey again.  I adhered this to the base card.  Cutting a piece of Soft Suede Cardstock & a smaller piece of Very Vanilla, I rounded the edges of both piece of cardstock, & adhered the Very Vanilla to the Soft Suede.
Inking my image in Soft Suede, I stamped it onto the Very Vanilla.  I again inked my greeting in Soft Suede & stamped in the middle of the frame & adhered this to the Card.
With my Bigshot, Embosslit Die – Beautiful Wings & DSP, I cut the butterflies & adhered randomly to the card with the larger butterfly to the LHS, as per the sketch.  I wanted to keep the butterflies the Vanilla colour.  To highlight the butterflies, I applied Basic Jewels & also used them for my “o’s” in the words “for you”.

Stamp Set – Just Believe
Ink – Soft Suede
Cardstock – Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey
DSP – Elegant Soiree
Embosslet Dies – Beautiful Wings

Until next time, Enjoy!

Birthday…

Challenge # 1 –
I come across a Colour Challenge over at http://stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com/ which ask for the colours Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip & Certainly Celery to be used.

Challenge # 2 –
Putting my thinking cap on, I then needed a layout, which brings me to the Sketch Challenge at http://technostamper.blogspot.com/  Mary Jo always has great challenges.
Seeing Masry Jo’s sketch, I knew I wanted to create a male’s card & the first stamp set which sprung to mind was “Circle Circus“.  An oldie, but a goodie.
Challenge # 3 –
Not to be outdone, my Yahoo Group is celebrating 100 challenges.  The theme being “CELEBRATING“.  The mind is full of options.
To complete my card, I embossed the Chocolate Chip Cardstock using the Bigshot & Perfect Polka Dots
For the middle of the card, I used the Technique – Faux Tiles.  To see how this technique is done, please look under Techniques on the RHS of the bar.
I then stamped my images over the top of the technique.  I adhered this piece to Real Red.  Adhering Grosgrain 5/8″ Ribbon – Certainly Celery across the middle, I attached the whole lot to Old Olive Cardstock.
I stamped the greeting from the stamp set Well Scripted, punched it out using the Extra Large Oval punch & wiped the edge through Chocolate Chip ink.  I then adhered this to the middle of the rribbon using SU Dimensionals.
Supplies –
Stamp Set – Circle Circus, Well Scripted
Ink – Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Old Olive
Cardstock – Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Punches – Extra-Large Oval
Embossing Folder – Perfect Polka Dots
Accessories – Mutlipurpose Liquid Glue, Grosgrain 5/8″ Ribbon – Certainly Celery, Bigshot, Dimensionals
Until next time, Enjoy!

Friends…

It’s time for the weekly challenge over at Stamping 411.  This one looked very easy, but as usual I always seem to have trouble with this sort.

For my card I’ve used the DSP – Greenhouse Gala, along with the Stamp Set – Friends Never Fade.

I cut my DSP to fit my card & layered the bottom section onto Real Red Cardstock.  I then flipped the DSP over & used the opposite side for the top section.  I adhered Grosgrain Ribbon – Real Red, along the section where the DSP meets.  I adhered the Real Red piece to the Chocolate Chip Card.  I love Real Red & Chocolate Chip together.

I inked the image up in Real Red & stamped directly onto Whisper White Cardstock.  Cut it out & adhered to Chocolate Chip Cardstock.  I then adhered to the card.  Finished!

A 5 minute card all up!

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Friends Never Fade
Ink – Real Red

Cardstock – Whisper white, Real Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories – Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Grosgrain Ribbon – Real Red

Until next time, Enjoy!
