For Mum…

Today’s card is a CASE from the Summer Mini, although I have changed a couple of things.  I’ve loved the look of this card from the first time I opened the mini.

Cut base card using Riding Hood Red Cardstock
Cut So Saffron Cardstock – 5″ x 3 1/2″ or 12.5cm x 9cm
Run this piece through your Bigshot using Embossing Folder Square Lattice
Adhere to base card
Cut Pear Pizzazz Cardstock – 4 1/2″ x 2″ or 11.5cm x 5cm
Cut Whisper White Cardstock – 4 3/8″ x 1 7/8″ or 11cm x 4.5cm
Using Pear Pizzazz Ink, stamp image twice onto the Whisper White Cardstock
Colour buds using your Watercolour Pencils
Using a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp images again & cut out

Adhere 2 cut out images over the stamped images using SU Dimensionals
Adhere Whisper White to Pear Pizzazz & then to base card down the RHS
Stamp 3 flower images onto scrap Whisper White Cardstock using Riding Hood Red Cardstock & cut out
Apply flowers to card using SU  Dimensionals
Adhere Basic Pearls to middle of flowers
With a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock & Pear Pizzazz Ink, stamp sentiment
Using Oval Punch Extra Large, punch sentiment & adhere to card
The sentiment I’ve used for this card makes for a great greeting birthday/general card for your mum or a Mother’s Day card.

It is actually an Inspiration Challenge from Utah Diva International

What else could I use but the Stamp Set – Cheers to You. It was just screaming out “Cheers”
Cut Wisper White Cardstock & score in half to form base card
Cut piece of Whisper White Cardstock

Using Stamp-ma-Jig to ensure your images are stamped in a straight line, stamp 3 images onto the Cardstock
Cut larger piece of Whisper White & adhere to the image piece
Cut yet another larger piece of Whisper White & adhere to previous piece
Adhere all 3 pieces of Whisper White to base card
Using Watercolour Pencils, colour images
Stamp Sentiment down RHS of bse card using Basic Gray Ink

Result – 10 mintue card!
Please excuse my colouring in on this card, but now I like to think that some of the drinks were actually on the side a little!

Tropical Summer…

I made this card a couple of weeks ago & suddenly realised I hadn’t posted it.

I’ve done a bit of a different fold for this card.  Still using your standard size card, I folded the top half of the card in half again.

I’ve used the “Island Oasis” DSP from the latest Mini-Catalogue & adhered DSP down the RHS, while ashering the opposite side of the DSP down the LHS.  All SU® DSP is double-sided, which means you receive twice as much DSP.

Using Whisper White on Rose Red Cardstock, I adhered it to the top half of the folded back section of the card.

I then stamped the images in Old Olive onto the Whisper White.  Using scraps of Whisper White, I stamped the flower in Rose Red, while the coconut was stamped in Chocolate Chip.  The umbrella was coloured in using my Watercolour Pencils.

I cut both the flower & coconut out & using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhered to the card.  I then stamped the greeting in Rose Red.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Tropical Party, Short & Sweet
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Rose Red
Cardstock – Whisper White, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories – Snail Glue, Stampin’ Dimensional, Watercolour Pencils
