Seaside Shore

Seaside-Shore-1---Close-Up

Today’s card is the last of the Retiform Cards we created over a month in our Class a few weeks ago.  It is using one of the sets retiring at the end of the month.  I will miss Seaside Shore but of course SU! never seem to disappoint as there is always something to replace them by.

You can find the tutorial for the Retiform Technique by clicking on the Technique Page.  Be warned though it is very addictive & no 2 cards will ever be the same!

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download your tutorials to create your own card.

Just a Note…

Crafting-Forever---Close-Up

G’Day Stampers,

I have a simple, quick & easy card for you today.  I am trying to use up as much DSP as possible before it retires.  Along with the DSP, I am also going to try & play with stamp sets that haven’t seen ink for some time.  This means that over the next couple of months you will see lots of cards using lots of retiring product.

This card took me all of about 10 minutes once I knew what I wanted to do & Crafting-Forever---Insidehow I was going to create it.  Don’t you just love this type of card.  I don’t think it needs much as the gorgeous DSP from the Color Theory Pack says it all.

By changing the colour & sentiment, it would be perfect for the males.

If you click on the link below, you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own card.

Remember to use the Host Code for April when shopping Online

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

A couple of weeks ago I created 2 cards using the fun “Bike Ride” Bundle.  Well today I amBike-Ride---Iside showing you the 3rd card created using basically the same supplies, colours & layout.  The differences being I’ve used Chocolate Chip as my Base Card, Embossing Paste & Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip Ink Re-Fills along with Sunshine Sayings for my greeting.

To achieve my “footpath”,  I added a 3 small amounts of Embossing Paste onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, added a very tiny drop of Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip Ink Refills to 2 of the amounts but not really mixing them.

I placed the “Brick” Decorative Mask to the bottom part of a piece of Whisper White Card, Bike-Ride---Embossing-Pasteapplied the White Embossing Paste followed by the Crumb Cake & then the Chocolate Chip to the Mask.  I found doing it this way, I had a more of a distinctive look with the colours.

The “Happy Birthday” was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS, punched with the Classic Label Punch & adhered behind the bike to look like a “flag”.

I’m finding this Bundle lots of fun with lots of ideas popping into my head as I create my cards.

Along with the Bundle, I’ve used “Glamper Greetings” – grass & sun while the marks on the path have been creating using an image from “Touches of Texture”.

20170703_112806blog1To create my path, I randomly drew lines with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, coloured & blended with Crumb Cake Ink & Blender Pen.

The sun was stamped in Daffodil Delight, coloured & blended with the Bender Pen.   I then blended a bit of the Daffodil Delight down towards the bike so that it looked like the sun was really shinning.

Crafting Forever

Heya Stampers,

My card today is one we created last week in our class “Cards @ Toogoom“.  The ladies loved it & thought it was a perfect way to use up those bits of DSP hanging around, not 20170612_102411blog-insidedoing anything but sitting just in case…..

For me it was the perfect time to showcase the gorgeous “Crafting Forever” Stamp Set, Page 181 of the new Catalogue.  It has a couple of lovely images great for the male, female & kids.

I’ve used the “Playful Palette” DSP Stack (retired) but the perfect excuse to use most of the remaining pages.  You could easily change out the DSP, replace it with current DSP to achieve an entirely different look.

To highlight the DSP even further & for the colours to pop even more,  I allowed a small amount of Basic Black to show between each piece.

I didn’t colour the image as I thought the DSP was busy enough & didn’t want to take away from the DSP.  I did, however, “Paper Pieced” the vase with the same DSP.

To create your own card, just click on the link below to download the tutorial which includes all the product used & measurements (metric & imperial).  SU! Demonstrators are quiet welcome to use the tutorial for any of their classes.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
