Colouring Class

Hand-Delivered---Close-UpG’Day Stampers,

Today I am sharing with you one of the cards we created in our colouring class in June.  I know, it has taken me some time to post as I seem to be behind in my posting for some reason.

We played Hand-Delivered---Isidewith the Stampin’ Blends of Pumpkin Pie & Pink Pirouette (retired) but one which everyone has.   We used the gorgeous Host Set Stamp Set –  Hand Delivered which has a lot of potential.  In our class we got to colour our balloons 2 different ways.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Day 12 – Animal Expedition

Animal-Expedition-1---CloseG’Day Stampers,

Sorry I missed yesterday – life just goes that way sometimes.

So, today I am sharing with you the 2nd card using the fun Animal Expedition DSP whichAnimal Expedition - 19.25 is part of the “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion.  There are only 3 days left to take advantage of this.

This suite is close to my heart as it brings back so many happy memories.  My Dad worked out of town during the week which meant he left Sunday arvos & would be home Friday night.

We would all “help” him to back his swag Sunday although looking back I think we were more of a hindrance than a help but he didn’t seem to mind.

Anyhow, usually when he arrived home on the Friday night, he would sometimes carefully place his ?moving” swag on the floor which meant there was something usually Animal-Expedition-1---Insidalive in it.  With excited anticipation we would gently unwrap it to find a joey wrapped up safe & sound fully aware that its mother had been killed.  Dad never went past a dead animal on the side of the road without checking for a pouch.   He still stops & checks to this day which means I now do the same!

Our yard was always full of orphaned joeys, lambs, birds, etc but my favourite was & still is the kangaroo.  Imagine my surprise when SU! brought out this fantastic Animal Expedition Suite!  I think it was just for me!

Anyhow, I decided to keep the card simple although I’ve used a few bright colours of Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist to create my card.  I’ve toned the colours down by adding a little Vellum over the top of the DSP.

Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

DSP---Share-What-You-Love--

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am taking part in a brand new blog hop, well new to me although I have been a member for a few months.  It is a group of SU! Demos from all over the world sharing July---DSPtheir love of Stampin’ Up!.  You are able to join us if you like, but we do ask that you are a current SU! Demo & that you use current products, no matter what skill level you may be.

Our theme this month is our Favourite DSP.  There are so many gorgeous new DSP in the catalogue that it was very hard to choose.  I literally just closed my eyes & let my fingers do the “walking” so to speak & they come up the gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty DSP.

Love-What-You-Do-1My card is one I often create as I love the layout & it is just so quick & simple.  It looks great cut into how may pieces you wish although you have to ensure you match them up when adhering to Cardstock.

To create my card I team it up with the Pearlized Doilies & the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls – So Saffron.  The DSP has been layered onto Basic Black Cardstock & then to the So Saffron Base Card.

My 2nd card is created exactly the same way using another piece of the same DSP.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download your free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorial includes a list of supplies & measurements (metric & imperia

As from Monday next week I will be showcasing our gorgeous DSP with lots of lovely ideas each day, so be sure to pop on back to check them out!
