G’Day Stampers.
Thanks so much for joining me today.  I am participating for the first time in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop for September.  The theme this month is “Something Different”.  It could be a fun fold, a shaker card, a spin card or even a technique.

I decided to go with Scrapbooking & share one of my pages we created last week in our Memories & More Scrapbooking Class.  We used the “Pick a Pattern” DSP along with the “Pattern Pieces”,Blender Pens, Stampin’ Write Markers & more to create our page. Pattern Pieces1 (2)

The page could be used for a boy or girl.  In this case, my page is going down to my niece for her son.  Once my page/s have been used for a class I post them off to Bon to add to her albums.  I have been doing this for some time now, she enjoys getting the parcel in the post & I enjoy creating them.

Sometimes, I will add photos & journaling to page, other times Bonnie adds her photos & journaling.  I think the surprise is not knowing what she will receive in the mail but the albums are slowing growing.

If you click on the link below you will be able to download a free tutorial which includes the product used to create the page plus measurements (metric & imperial).

Thank you so much for stopping by & checking out my project today.

By clicking on the links list below, you will be able to check out the other lovely creations in the hop

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Scrapbook Page

Over the past month or so I have slowly been scrapping away at my niece’s photos & getting them posted to her.  Some I have kept for future Memories & More Scrapbooking Classes (check out the Class Page) while others have gone straight down to her.  Bonnie is loving the surprise of opening the packages & not knowing what photos have been done or if photos have been included…

Today’s page is one we created in our class on Sunday week.  It is going to be repeated later on at the request of a couple of ladies who couldn’t make it on the day but want to create the pages.  There have been a few ladies saying that they will be back to do the same class again, as they have heaps of photos to scrap.  This means that the pages will look totally different with new photos.

For my page I cut a piece of the retired “Peace This Christmas” DSP, adhered to a strip of Garden Green before adhering to a piece of Very Vanilla & then to Cherry Cobbler Card.  The Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler are part of the with the “Be Merry” Cardstock Pack.

A piece of Very Vanilla was cut back to size so that we could fit 4 x photos on it & adhered Holly-Berry-Happiness-Page-to the Cherry Cobbler Base.  Some of the ladies settled for 2 x photos which looked fine on the layout.

We stamped a couple of the holly branch image from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured & blended with our Blender Pens before fussing cutting.  The bows were stamped in the same ink but coloured with Cherry Cobbler & punched out with the matching Holly Berry Builder PunchWe stamped a number of the small holly images onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS, coloured & blended with Garden Green before punching with the same Punch & adhering to the braches of holly with the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

They were then adhered down the side of the page, the bows adhered to the tops with Mini Glue Dots & Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots (retired) adhered to the branch.

For the title, we cut a banner shape into each end, adhered a couple of the left over holly images to each end along with the Candy Dots before adhering to the bottom part of the page.

To finish off the page, some of the ladies then scattered a couple of the Candy Dots around the page.

The page would suit the new Be Merry DSP too.  It is just that my order didn’t arrive in time.  The ladies were more than happy to see how I use the retired DSP.  Mind you the pages were great sellers for both the Stamp Set & DSP.

Be sure to check out the Class Page for our next class.  We will be creating 2 beach pages.  All you need to bring is yourself & or a friend.  Everything is supplied.

Be sure to check back in a few days time when I will show you our 2nd page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Scrapbook Page

I am a member of a Facebook Group called “Stampin’ Up! Scrapbook Global” & the challenge last week was to case (copy & share everything) a favourite layout from the gallery.  There are so many wonderful layouts that I was sort of torn as to which one to do, but eventually I settled on a great page created by Scrappam Boum  Thank you so much for your inspiration!  You created a gorgeous page.

I have used retired DSP but I am happy with the page just the same.  You could easily change out the designs to current product.  For me, it is a great excuse to #loveitchopit some of my DSP that is still sitting on my shelf.

If you read my blog, you know that I often create pages for my niece & post them down to her.  Sometimes I will add photos, other times the pages are left blank for her to add photos.  The same goes for the journaling – sometimes I do it & other times it is blank for 180617-(2)blogBonnie to do it.

I randomly stamped the bunch of flowers from the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set onto a 12″ x 12″ Whisper White CS in Night of Navy, Marina Mist & Calypso Coral Inks.  I wanted to bring the colours out in the photo but at the same time not make it to “flowery”.

I cut a couple of pieces of the Celebrate Today DSP (2015 Occasions Catalogue) & layered them down the Whisper White Card.  I again cut 2 pieces of DSP from the same pack, punched a banner shape into 1 end of each piece with the Banner Triple Punch, cut each piece back to size & adhered them across the same Whisper White Card.

The photo was matted onto a piece of Marina Mist CS so that it wasn’t White on White & then mattered onto a piece of Night of Navy – again bringing out the colours the blokes are wearing & adhered to the page on an angle.

A flower was stamped onto scrap Whisper White with Calypso Coral Ink, punched with the matching Pansy Punch & adhered to the page with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I then decided to stamp a leaf onto scrap Whisper White in Old Olive Ink, fussy cut it before adhering under the flower.

My journaling section was stamped with the bunch of flowers in Calypso Coral Ink, punched at one end with the Banner Triple Punch before layering onto a piece of Night of Navy CS which was cut back enough for a small edge to show around all sides, punched with the Banner Triple Punch & adhered to the page.  The actual journaling has been done with the Journaling Pen.

Scrapbooking

For the past few months or so I’ve been creating pages for my niece for her albums.  I create the pages using the traditional method as well as Project Life.  I’m doing both 12″20170515_110800blog1 x 12″ pages plus 8″ x 6″ pages.  Every so often, I will pack them up & post down to her so that she can then put them in one of her albums.

I purchased a couple of albums & pages for Bonnie & had them sent direct to her.  Bon loves getting them & seeing what I have done & what pictures I’ve selected.  Sometimes, I will do the journaling but most of the time I have left that bit blank for her to pop her story onto the page.

Today’s page is one I had half completed but was just sitting there waiting for a little bit of embellishment to be added.  After seeing a page created by Kris McIntosh a light bulb went off.  Of course, I had to use the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set & Botanical Builder Framelits both of which are retiring.  Why hadn’t I thought of that, seeing as though I had used the “Botanical Gardens” DSP (retired).  Thank you Kris for your inspiration.

For my layout, I drew a rough sketch & then sort of followed it.  Mind you, what I 20170515_110750blog2sometimes draw doesn’t always end up what the page will look like.  I cut a strip of Basic Black Card & adhered it down the left side of the DSP.  A piece of Hello Honey Card (retired) was layered onto a piece of Whisper White Card & then to a piece of Mossy Meadow (retired) before layering onto the DSP.

As the photos were sort of dark in colour, I decided to print them out in back & white which works out great in some cases.  Don’t be scared to experiment with your photos.  You will be surprised how different they look when printed in black & white.

For the leaves, I’ve again used Mossy Meadow, while the flowers are Cajun CrazeHello Honey & Basic Black.  I popped Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centres to finish them off.

This layout could be used for lots of pages.  All you have to do is change out the embellishments, colours & DSP.

I do hope you enjoyed my page today.  Hopefully I will be able to share a lot more pages I’ve created for Bonnie if I remember to take photos before they go off in the post.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

SC 094/13…

Our new challenge is up & running over at Sunny Challenges & Creations

All you have to do is share something that you have created for the Christmas Season.  Maybe you have created your own decorations, table settings, boxes, banner, scrapbook page, etc.

For my first sample, I decided to do a couple of scrapbook pages ready in time for Christmas Day. I am really happy with how they turned out.  Today is Page 1 of the pages which will fit a 5″ x 7″ photo with a small white border.

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Morning Post Numbers
Ink – Crumb Cake
Cardstock – Whisper White, Textured Old Olive
DSP – Season of Style
Ribbon – 1″ Stitched Edge Grosgrain – Cherry Cobbler
Washi Tape – Season of Style
Accessories – Snail Adhesive, Paper Piercing Mat & Tool

I cut 2 strips of DSP into 2″ wide x 11″ while the 3rd strip was 2″ x 12″ & adhered them to the RHS of the Old Olive Textured CS.  I just love Textured CS for scrapbooking!

A 5 1/4″ x 7 1/4″ piece of Whisper White CS was adhered over the strips of DSP.  I stamped “2013” onto a piece of Whisper White CS 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ using Crumb Cake Ink.  Prior to adhering to the page, a “V” was cut from one end.

With my Paper Piercing Mat & Tool I pierced a double layer around the Whisper White Mat.  A bow was tied from the Cherry Cobbler Ribbon & the adhered to the RHS of the year.

I then adhered a couple of strips of Washi Tape to the top LHS of the page.  I also placed a piece of Whisper White, cut into a banner for a little bit of journaling.

All in all a very simple page, but one that represents Christmas!

We know everyone is busy at this time of the year, so we have extended this challenge out to the new year, which means you have lots of extra time to play along.  We would love for you to link your creation or creations with us.  All you have to do is post it on line & then link back to Mr Linky.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’!
