Lovely as a Tree…

…is a stamp set that has been in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue for such a long time.  What better way to showcase this gorgeous set then to create a technique Class around it.

We created this card way back in early October.  I have mentioned that I am way behind in sharing our Technique cards with you, but in the next couple of weeks, I hope to be up to date.

For this class we highlighted the Sponging Technique.  We have done this previously but I think it is always a great idea to revisit some of the ways to create gorgeous cards, especially at Christmas.

We stamped our main tree using Old Olive & Early Espresso Markers, then clear embossed it.  Masking off the main tree, we then stamped the background trees using Early Espresso Ink.

We created the small dots in the sky by using the blotchy image from Gorgeous Grunge, stamping with VersaMark & then embossing with White Embossing Powder.

To create the sky, we sponged Soft Sky & Marina Mist.  The ground was sponged with Crumb Cake & Soft Suede.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Vicky
