G’Day Stampers,
Today’s card is one I created for a friend who celebrated her 60th birthday last week. Thanks to Jenni’s dress for the inspiration!
I must apologise for not having a tutorial for you to download but I will try & remember how I created it. First up, I’ve used the Oh So Eclectic Bundle which includes the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set & the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.
To create my card I sponged a piece of Whisper White CS with Crushed Curry, Night of Navy & Elegant Eggplant Inks using a Stamping Sponge. This piece was then adhered behind a piece of Whisper white CS which had been die cut using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. It was then layered onto a piece of Crushed Curry CS & then to the Base Card – Elegant Eggplant.
The large flower was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before applying Elegant Eggplant Ink with a Sponge Dauber. The inner petals were highlighted with Night of Navy Ink using a Blender Pen before finishing off with Clear Wink of Stella & die cutting with the matching die from Eclectic Layers Thinlits.
The 2 flowers were once again stamped onto a piece of Whisper White CS. The first flower was lightly shaded with Crushed Curry Ink using a Sponge Dauber. Again, the lower inner petals were highlighted with Crushed Curry & a Blender Pen before being die cut with the matching die from the Oh So Eclectic Thinlits & Clear Wink of Stella applied.
I used the same technique for the 2nd flower but this time using Night of Navy & Elegant Eggplant Inks.
The leaves were die cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits from a piece of Whisper White before Garden Green Ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.
The flowers & leaves were arranged onto the Card Front before being adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set & has been stamped direct onto the Card Front in Memento Tuxedo Black.
To complete the card I scattered Regals Candy Dots (retired) around the Card Front. You could easily replace the Dots with current products & colouring with the Stampin’ Blends.
I’m happy to say Jenni loved her card & hopefully you do too.
Until next time, Happy Stampin’
This is simply gorgeous. Love all the sponging, it gives such depth to the flowers. TFS.
Thank you Kris. I love doing my flowers this way.
