Merry & Bright

Colourful-Seasons---Close-U

Today’s card is another we created in our Cards @ Toogoom class a couple of weeks ago.  You can see the 1st card here.  Both cards use the Emboss Resist Technique which you can find Technique Tutorials here.

For some reason I love Christmas baubles.  Don’t know why, but I especially love that they can come in all sizes & colours.  I don’t have a bauble set so I set about creating some of my own.

We used the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set to create our card by randomly stamping the Colourful-Seasons---Insidesnowflake images onto a piece of Whisper White CS, using the Emboss Resist Technique & punching out 3 different size circles.

To hang the baubles we die cut a “branch” from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, & Silver Foil before being attaching Silver Metallic Thread.  The Whisper White background has been embossed using the Softly Falling EF & then layered onto a piece of Dapper Denim CS.

Christmas with Painted Harvest

Painted-Harvest-Christmas--

G’Day Stampers,

I was wide awake at about 3.30am the other morning & this idea sort of popped into my 4-februaryhead, so of course I had to try it out immediately.  I’m happy to say it worked & that I am more than excited that I can now use the set for multiple occasions.  Gotta love it when you can get multiple uses from your products.

I’ve taken the layout for the card from a sketch that I gave to my team sometime ago & thought it would be good to revisit the same sketch but with different supplies.  You can see the original card by clicking here.  I think I’ve hit the mark with this one.  Don’t you?

The “berries” are from the same stamp set & randomly stamped in Berry Burst.  The Tranquil Tide Ribbon was layered across the top of the Painted Autumn DSP & then the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon (it’s so pretty) across the middle of that.

The stamped wreath was die cut with the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits before being layered onto a scallop circle die cut from the Layering Circles Framelits.

The sentiment is from the Hearts Come Home set & was stamped direct onto Whisper White in Berry Burst.

The card was layered onto Lemon Lime Twist & then to the Base Card – Tranquil Tide.

Basic Sponging

Hearts-Come-Home---Close-Up

G’Day Stampers,

Today’s post is a little different in that I am going to be sharing with you easy Techniques that you will be able to create in your own home & with the supplies you have on hand.

These techniques will appear on my blog every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month, along Technique-Layoutwith instructions for a card using the technique.  The technique tutorial will also be available which you will be able to download, file in a folder & keep on hand to use or to refer back to at a later date.

Yes, SU! Demos are able to use them for your classes, workshops & demonstrations.  It just means that all the work is done for you, except of course your samples.

To file your tutorials all you have to do is purchase one of the 6” x 8″ Albums & a pack of the 6″ x 8″ Variety Pack of Photo Pocket Pages.

This means that you will have 2 options in the way you file your tutorials.  Basic-Sponging---4-per-page

Option 1 – Detailed tutorial in the full page pocket & the tips & tutorial in the 2 pocket page.

Option 2 – Shorter tutorial & sample side by side using the 4 pocket page.  There is also a sheet of Products used plus Measurements (Metric & Imperial) that you are able to print & tuck behind your tutorial if you wish.

Hearts-Come-Home---InsideYou can find the Technique Tutorials by clicking on the Technique Tutorials Page.

My card today is one we created in our class a couple of weeks ago.  We don’t have snow at Christmas in Australia so I tried to create a bush Christmas.  I’ve use the “Hearts Come Home” Bundle, Page 39 of the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.  The Bundle includes the “Hearts Come Home” Stamp Set & the “Hometown Greetings” Edgelits Dies.  I teamed it up with the “Hearth & Home” Thinlits to create my theme.  Santa racing through the sky finishes off the scene.
