Have you had enough of Christmas Cards yet? Well, you will be happy to know that this one will be the last for a little while. I still have a couple to share with you but I will do that over the next month or so. This way you may be able to make an early start for next year – scary thought hey.
Once again, I am sharing a cute little Gift Card Holder created from a standard Envelope. Love creating these little things & so very handy to use throughout the year.
The DSP is from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue – Be Merry while the greeting Merry & Bright is from the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set, available in the 2017 Holiday Catalogue which ends 2 January 2018.

This is one of the cards we created in our “Cards @ Toogoom” class last Friday. The ladies loved it – simple but with a bit of a WOW when you open it, as it has a Pop Up Gift Card Holder inside. We actually created one similar to this one a couple of years ago in our Technique Class. It is always good to revisit older creations & revamp them. Mind you, with the DSP we used on our card, you could use it for any occasion – just omit Santa, the trees & change out the sentiment.
Be Merry DSPis from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue while the stamp set “Hearts Come Home” is from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue. The stamp set is also available in a Bundle.
You can find the free tutorial for the card & the holder inside by clicking on the link below which includes all measurements (metric & imperial) as well as a list of supplies used to create by card.
Be sure to check back in a couple of days as I have another Gift Card Holder to share with you.
Today’s card is another we created in our Cards @ Toogoomclass a couple of weeks ago. You can see the 1st card here. Both cards use the Emboss Resist Technique which you can find Technique Tutorialshere.
For some reason I love Christmas baubles. Don’t know why, but I especially love that they can come in all sizes & colours. I don’t have a bauble set so I set about creating some of my own.
I was wide awake at about 3.30am the other morning & this idea sort of popped into my head, so of course I had to try it out immediately. I’m happy to say it worked & that I am more than excited that I can now use the set for multiple occasions. Gotta love it when you can get multiple uses from your products.
I’ve taken the layout for the card from a sketch that I gave to my team sometime ago & thought it would be good to revisit the same sketch but with different supplies. You can see the original card by clicking here. I think I’ve hit the mark with this one. Don’t you?
The “berries” are from the same stamp set & randomly stamped in BerryBurst. The Tranquil Tide Ribbon was layered across the top of the Painted Autumn DSP & then the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon (it’s so pretty) across the middle of that.
The stamped wreath was die cut with the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits before being layered onto a scallop circle die cut from the Layering Circles Framelits.
The sentiment is from the Hearts Come Home set & was stamped direct onto Whisper White in Berry Burst.
The card was layered onto Lemon Lime Twist & then to the Base Card – Tranquil Tide.

Today’s post is a little different in that I am going to be sharing with you easy Techniques that you will be able to create in your own home & with the supplies you have on hand.
These techniques will appear on my blog every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month, along with instructions for a card using the technique. The technique tutorial will also be available which you will be able to download, file in a folder & keep on hand to use or to refer back to at a later date.
Yes, SU! Demos are able to use them for your classes, workshops & demonstrations. It just means that all the work is done for you, except of course your samples.
This means that you will have 2 options in the way you file your tutorials.
Option 1 – Detailed tutorial in the full page pocket & the tips & tutorial in the 2 pocket page.
Option 2 – Shorter tutorial & sample side by side using the 4 pocket page. There is also a sheet of Products used plus Measurements (Metric & Imperial) that you are able to print & tuck behind your tutorial if you wish.
You can find the Technique Tutorials by clicking on the Technique Tutorials Page.
