Card # 2 – Merry Christmas

Today’s Card is continuing from our Play Day & was created by Gail.  I took inspiration from it & used Stampin’ Up! products Gailon it.  As you can see I have changed it a little – well a lot!  I just couldn’t stop & kept going!

I actually purchased this Stamp Set – Choose Happiness – to create a Christmas Card.  For some reason it reminded me of Christmas & had to go along with it.  I also saw a card from the very talented Julie Gearinger which screamed this stamp.  Thank you Gail & Julie for your inspiration.

The ladies had heaps of fun creating the card & as usual even though we all start out with the same kit but they quickly grew into completely different cards – see photo below of our cards.

Don’t forget to click on the link above the photo to grab a free tutorial on how I created my card.

Until next time, happy Stampin’

Gorgeous Grunge…

…was one of the stamp sets we used in our Technique Class last month.  If you haven’t tried Stampin’ Mist as a Technique, give it a whirl as you will be surprised at how easy it is & the different effects you get on your card.  Each time you do this technique, you will get a different look each time.

Happy Birthday…

… to one of my brother’s.  I have 2 brothers who celebrate their birthdays this month & only a couple of days apart.

Today’s card is the one I created for the younger of the 2.  When he was younger he rode competitive Cross Country, so I thought this stamp, although retired, would be perfect for him.

I have actually completed all my birthday cards for January & February & have them all written out & ready to post about 10 days prior to the date.  I can’t believe I am back to my old ways – fingers crossed that it will continue throughout the year!
