Happy Birthday

Bruschs---Detailed-Dragonfl

G’Day Stampers,

It’s been awhile, but I’m happy to say that Technique Tuesday is back again this year.

We’re playing with Brushos today & showing you a basic way of using them.  Mind you, you will still have a fantastic result just the same.  Remember, if you don’t have the product I’ve used on my card, use what you have on hand.

This is one of the cards we created a couple of weeks ago in our class.  The ladies loved playing with them especially when they saw how the powders reacted to water & how everyone’s card turned out very different.  Have you tried them yet?Basic-Sponging---4-per-page

There is a little change this year in that they may only appear the 4th Tuesday of the month.  Yes, you will still receive the instructions for a card using the technique.  The Technique Tutorial is available for download by clicking on the Free Technique Tutorials Page, file in a folder & keep on hand to use or to refer back to at a later date.

Yes, SU! Demos are able to use them for your classes, workshops & demonstrations.  It just means that all the work is done for you, except of course your samples.

Oh, So Eclectic

Oh-So-Eclectic--Jenny---Clo

G’Day Stampers,

Today’s card is one I created for a friend who celebrated her 60th birthday last week.  Thanks to Jenni’s dress for the inspiration!

I must apologise for not having a tutorial for you to download but I will try & remember how I created it.  First up, I’ve used the Oh So Eclectic Bundle which includes the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set & the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

To create my card I sponged a piece of Whisper White CS with Crushed Curry, Night ofOh-So-Eclectic---Jenny---In Navy & Elegant Eggplant Inks using a Stamping Sponge.  This piece was then adhered behind a piece of Whisper white CS which had been die cut using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  It was then layered onto a piece of Crushed Curry CS & then to the Base Card – Elegant Eggplant.

The large flower was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before applying Elegant Eggplant Ink with a Sponge Dauber.  The inner petals were highlighted with Night of Navy Ink using a Blender Pen before finishing off with Clear Wink of Stella & die cutting with the matching die from Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

Oh-So-Eclectic-Jenny-Close-The 2 flowers were once again stamped onto a piece of Whisper White CS.  The first flower was lightly shaded with Crushed Curry Ink using a Sponge Dauber.  Again, the lower inner petals were highlighted with Crushed Curry & a Blender Pen before being die cut with the matching die from the Oh So Eclectic Thinlits & Clear Wink of Stella applied.

I used the same technique for the 2nd flower but this time using Night of Navy & Elegant Eggplant Inks.

The leaves were die cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits from a piece of Whisper White before Garden Green Ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.

The flowers & leaves were arranged onto the Card Front before being adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set & has been stamped direct onto the Card Front in Memento Tuxedo Black.

To complete the card I scattered Regals Candy Dots (retired) around the Card Front.  You could easily replace the Dots with current products & colouring with the Stampin’ Blends.

I’m happy to say Jenni loved her card & hopefully you do too.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Let’s Celebrate Your Day

Bunch-of-Blossoms-1---Close

I’ve been quite on my blog for a little – family stuff going on but hopefully I can find my creative side once again & get back into my regular blogging.

To begin with, I cased a sketch from a challenge, didn’t get it posted in time but thought I would share it with you anyhow.  It is a very simple card but one I hope will inspire you.  I’ve kept lots of white on the card as I wanted the colours to be the WOW factor.Bunch-of-Blossoms-1---Insid  In fact, the card could be used for a number of occasions.

I’ve used the lovely “Bunch of Blossoms” Stamp Set along with the corresponding Blossom Builder Punch.   I wanted to create something bright & happy which is why I’ve used Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Inks.  As I wanted lots of white to highlight the colours, I opted for Chocolate Chip & Whisper White CS – love these colours together.

By clicking on the link below you are able to download a free tutorial to create your own card or just use the layout.  It includes all the measurements (metric & imperial) along November-2017with a list of products.

Oh So Eclectic

Heya Stampers,

Today, I am sharing with you a card I created from a left over piece of Watercolour PaperOh,-So-Eclectic-inside I had used on a card a couple of days ago.  Instead of wasting it, I thought it would be great to try & use the piece on something.  As I had the “Naturally Eclectic” DSP sitting on my desk, it suddenly hit me that the colours matched perfectly with the DSP.  Don’t you love it when this happens?

I chose to colour my flower using the Blender Pen along with Sweet Sugarplum & Berry Burst Inks which by the way coordinate with the lovely DSP.  I added Clear Wink of Stella to the flower which blended & highlighted the colours a little more as well as adding a bit of sparkle to it.

Oh,-So-Eclectic-close-upFor the inside of my card, I cut a piece of the DSP, adhered a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card to one side, layered it onto a piece of Whisper White Card before adhering to the inside of the Base Card – Night of Navy.

Do you recognize it?  It is from the front of the Annual Catalogue.  Not much difference, but I have managed to add my own interpretation to it.  Don’t forget to use the Catalogue for inspiration.

There is a free tutorial for you by clicking on the link below to create your own card.  It includes a list of supplies used on the card plus measurements (metric & imperial).

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
