Sweet Ice Cream

G’Day Friends,

If you are in Qld, I do hope you are receiving some of this much needed rain.  I know we had lovely soaking rain last night & there is nothing better than listening to it on a tin roof while lying in bed!

My card today is from a video I did yesterday – you can see that here if you wish.  It’s using the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set along with the Pansy Petals DSP.  Are you sick of this paper yet as I’ve been using it lots lol.

The colours I’ve used are Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya & Early Espresso Inks, along with Calypso Coral, Basic White & Early Espresso Cardstock.

The Basic White panel & the sentiment shape have both been die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.

This DSP is so versatile as it can be used for all occasions which I am showcasing today.  This card could be for babies, birthdays, Christmas or anything on your list.

I decided to also go way out of my comfort zone & create with colours from our Colour Coach – Garden Green, So Saffron & Early Espresso.  It took me a little to adjust but now that it is finished, although a clean look & simple layout, I am very happy with the final result.

Penguin Place

G’Day Friends,

I do hope you are all safe while in lockdown in some parts of Australia or the world.

Today sees the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue go live!  Oh & of course the 2nd lot of Sale-a-Bration from 3 August – 30 September.

Of course, I couldn’t let the opportunity pass without showing you a few projects in the next few weeks that I’ve created using both new product from the Mini & FREE product from SAB which is your for FREE when spending over $90 or $180.

I’ve used the fun Penguin Place Bundle which includes the Penguin Place Stamp Set & the Penguin Builder Punch.  It has been teamed up with the matching Penguin Playmates DSP which is from SAB.

Both the Base Card & Ribbon is Fresh Freesia, while the Penguin & sentiment have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The little present & bowtie are Balmy Blue.

The embellishments are Fresh Freesia Jewels which I think just finished the card off perfectly.  A little bit of new & a little bit of old!  What do you think?

Snail Mail Suite

G’Day Friends,

I’ve used a piece of the gorgeous Snail Mail DSP along the bottom, wrapped a piece of the Whisper White Twine from the Snail Mail Combo Pack, adhere it to a layer of Real Red & then to a Basic Grey Base Card.

The mushrooms have been die cut from the DSP with the Snail Dies – love these Dies – before being adhered to the Card Font with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’ll let you in on a little secret – To make my DSP shapes more stable, I always cut another shape in Basic White or similar & adhere the DSP shape to the Basic White shape.  This way it makes your DSP shape a little more stronger.

The little envelope was die cut from a piece of Basic White Cardstock again with the Snail Dies, folded into shape before being adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Basic White in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before being die cut with the shape from the Snail Dies & adhered to just the inside of the envelope with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The card was then completed by randomly scattering 3 of the cute little Resin Hearts from the same Suite.

Snailed It – Day 1

Thank you for popping by today.  It is very much appreciated.

This week I asked my group what Stamp Set they would like featured for the week.  There ended up being 2 chosen so today I will be sharing Snailed It which just happens to be one of my favourites from the 2021 Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue.

The card I am sharing with you was created in January as a bonus for my Stamp & Card Club.  It is a simple one but one that suits the layout.

I adhered a piece of Snail Mail DSP to a strip of Bermuda Bay Cardstock & then to a piece of Basic White Cardstock before being adhered to a Blushing Bride layer & finally to a Real Red Base Card.

The cute little snail was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink, colour with Watercolour Pencils, die cut with matching die from Snail Dies before being adhere to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.The sentiment is from the It’s Your Day Stamp Set, stamped onto Basic White, die cut with Snail Dies before being adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The little Resin Hearts which are part of the Snail Mail Suite were coloured with the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend before before being adhered to the Card Front.

A I mentioned a very easy & simple card but sometimes that is all you need.  Perfect for kids of all ages!
