Blooming With Kindness…

I have loved this set from the moment I saw it, but it has taken me some time to actually purchase it.  So many lovely products, which to buy first!!!!!

I wanted to try & create a different look using this set & think I may have achieved it.  It is a card we sometime ago at Crafty Creations where we concentrated on playing with Window Sheets or Acetate.  You can see this card HERE.

Knowing what will work & how Acetate will work is the secret to the puzzle.

Again, I’ve kept the card pretty clean & simple, as I didn’t want to take away from the card front.

I’ve since added a sentiment to the front as I used it for a Sympathy card.

And the instructions for you to copy & print

SC 079/13….

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the mums out there a very “Happy Mother’s Day“!  I hope you have all been spoilt with lots of chocolates, flowers & brekkie in bed.

This week’s challenge at Sunny Challenges & Creations has been given to us by Kris.  As well as the sketch, we have to create a card, 3-D project or scrapbook page for kids!

How easy can it be?  Well, not so easy I found out!

Inside Card….

Why is it that are there easiest are sometimes the hardiest.  Maybe I was thinking too much into it, who knows.  I think I got there in the end though, as I am fairly happy with the final result.
??The card also fits the challenge over at  Latenight Stampers – saying goodbye to our Retiring Colours.  For both challenges I’ve used “Pretty in Pink“.  This is one colour I will be sad to see “retire”, but will gladly welcome the new colours.

What little girl doesn’t love “Pink“!  I even managed to sneak some bling onto it too.  Along with the Pink Icing, I think it is the perfect card for a little girl!

Today, we have no print out for the tutorial – Google is playing up, but the tutorial is below for you, just in a different format.

Stippled Blossom…

Inside Card…

… has been on my Wish List since I first laid eyes on it & finally managed to order it the other day.  Believe me, if you haven’t purchased this gorgeous set, do yourself a favour & buy it.  You will not regret it.  This stamp set is 2-step stamping & stamps such a beautiful, clean, clear image
that you will want to stare at it & wonder why it took you so long to get it.

My card is another we did for Crafty Creations & has been sitting in a box half finished for about 6 months.  I knew what I wanted to create in my head but just couldn’t get it on paper.  I wanted to use the Labels Collections Framelits to create my frame but when I went to get them, I suddenly realised I didn’t have them & had never purchased them.  Do you ever think you have purchased something only to find that you didn’t?  Mind you, I didn’t believe it until I had such a mess & everything had been pulled down from the shelves that I came to the realisation that how could I not have them?

I’m really happy with this card & think I will be creating more like it in the future.  It leaves itself open to all sorts of possibilities.

Of course, the tutorial for you to print or file by clicking on the link below –

Friday’s Card…..

… has been created using yet another retired Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!  In fact I’ve used 2!  I lov e it when I can use some of my Retired Sets.  In fact, one of them had never been used, while a couple of the images from Artfully Asian had only seen ink once.
???????????

Inside Card…

I must admit I saw this card some time ago while surfing the internet & as usual I didn’t save it but filed it in my brain.  I’m not even sure if I have created it the way I remember it, but hopefully the ladies in my volunteer Friday class will enjoy creating it.

After some deliberation, I decided to use my Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the delicate flowers.  I was very careful not to spread the ink from Early Expresso around & mix it with the Markers.

To take away the blank canvas a little more & to bring the flowers to life, I then added tiny Pearls to the centres as well as randomly over the card.

Please click on the link below so that you are able to save or print the Tutorial
to create your own card.

SC 062/12…

It was my turn to bring the challenge this week over at Sunny Challenges.  We all seem to be able to create a female’s card much easier than a male, so this week, I thought why not just let our imaginations go wild.  Along with the sketch, we have to create a project for the girls……

Measurements –
Base Card – Always Artichoke – 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ or 21cm x 15cm
Layer 1 – Whisper White – 5 3/4″ x 4″ or 14.5cm x 10cm
Layer 2 – DSP x 2 – 3″ x 3 3/4″ or 7cm x 9.5cm
Layer 3 – Always Artichoke – 3 1/2″ x 1″ or 2.5cm x 9cm

Supplies –
Stamp Set – Field Flowers
Ink – Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake
Cardstock – Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
DSP – Subtles Designer Series Paper
Punches – 2 1/2″ Circle, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle
Embossing Folder – Lacy Brocade
Ribbon – Crochet Trim Chantilly (Retired)
Accessories – Snail Adhesive, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Stampin Dimensionals, Min Glue Dots, Big Shot

I adhered the ppieces of DSP to the piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Snail Adhesive prior to adhering the piece of Crochet Trim across the middle to hide the joins & then to the Base Card – Always Artichoke.

The piece of Always Artichoke Cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Embossing Folder Lacy Brocade prior to adhering to the top of the Crochet Trim with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.

I punched a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, stamped 2 random leaf images in Always Artichoke & 2 large flowers & 1 small flower onto another scrap of Whisper White Cardstock with Pretty In Pink Ink.  I cut around the flower images prior to adhering to the punched circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my scallop border, I punched 2 scallop circles with my 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, cut the punched pieces into sections & adhered to the back of the stamped Whisper White Circle.

The whole piece was then adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots.

I left the Sentiment/Greeting off my card.

Don’t forget to pop on over to Sunny Challenges & check out what the other girls have created.  We would love for you to jons us too!

Have a great week & Happy Stampin’
