After checking out sketch from http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com and wanting to come up with a layout for a Technique Class this Wenesday – Faux Tiles, I thought that maybe I could combine the 2…..  This is the result! 
Mind you, I wanted a male card, but looking at it, could be either male or female.

I have previously completed a tutorial for this technique, but the way I did it on this card is a little different & will post tutorial for this Wednesday.

G’Day Stampers,
An early post for today.  This time a “Get Well” Card for a member of my family.
As I love Stampin’ UP!’s® “Circle Circus”, what better stamp set than this.
Supplies –

Ink – Real Red, Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy
Cardstock – Whisper White, Real Red, Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy
Punches – Scallop Oval, large Oval
Accessories – Snail Adhesive, Grosgrain Ribbon – Real Red
I’ve typed the wording “Thinking of You”

I’ve been trying to clean up & come across some small scraps of cardstock.  Circle Circus just happen to be in my hand at the same time, so I quickly whipped up a couple of Thank You Cards which I used this morning……

While I had all the mess going, I decided to have a go at the Challenge over at http://www.krista-kris-challenges.blogspot.com and used the same stamp set and sort of the same idea.

Ink – Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Cardstock – Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point
DSP – Chocolate Chip
Punches – Scallop, 1 3/8″ Round, 1 1/4″ Round
Accessories – Snail Adhesive, Brads – Clear & Green
Non-SU – Blue Rhinestone
I actually found my SU Brads & have taken the pokie bit off the brad & am left with just the Rhinestone.  I added the Kiwi Kiss to bring a 3rd colour into the scheme of things.

2nd Post for the day, using same Sketch Layout but with a different look! 
I’ve used the Faux Tiles Technique, except I’ve used Clear Embossing Powder,
instead of Glossy Cardstock.

Calendar Class 2010…

Hi All,

I did forget to mention that I am doing 2 extra classes in January for a Calendar 2010 – as per samples.  These have magnets on the back for putting on the fridge.
