Merry Christmas

G’Day Friends,

I thought I would share this simpe & elegant Christms Card I quickly created the other day for a friend.

A piece of Night of Navy was embossed with the now retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder before being adhered to a Thick Basic White Base Card.

The poinsettia has been die cut from Basic White Cardstock with the Poinsettia Dies before being layered onto each other & adhered to the Card Front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I must admit I haven’t used these Dies in some time but think they are perfect for this card, don’t you?

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set, stamped onto Basic White Cardstock in Night of Navy Ink, trimmed back to size before being adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To complete the card I adhered 3 x Pearls to the centre of the Poinsettia & then randomly to the card front.

I think this is the type of Christmas Card that can be easily recreated for a large number of your friends.

Kylie’s International Blog Highlights December

G’Day Friends,

Today I am hopping along with Kylie’s International Blog Hop for December.  This is a hop where Demonstrators from all around the world chose to take part highlighting all our lovely product.  If this is the first time visiting my blog, thank you so much for dropping by.

You are able to vote for my card Here or by clicking on the photo below.

Thank You is our theme for the hop.  Many of us don’t take the time to thank the ones we love or care about.  It can be the simple things that they do for us each day or big things that they have done recently.  It is so important to say thank you and show our appreciation for the hard work of others and the kindness that they show.

I love creating this type of card & posting them off in the mail or leaving them in my neighbours letterboxes.  Do you know of anyone you can post or give this type of card to?  I’m sure they would appreciate it.

I had the Harvest Meadows Suite from the current July-December Mini Catalogue, sitting on my desk from a past project so decided to go with it.  I seem to be using this Suite a lot but you do that sometimes when you love playing with a certain stamp set, suite, etc.

I chopped a piece of the lovely Harvest Meadow DSP into 2, adhered 1 piece to the bottom of a piece of Basic White prior to flipping the 2nd piece to the opposite side & adhering this piece to the top of the same Basic White.  It was then popped up onto a Crumb Cake Base Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set was stamped onto Basic White in Misty Moonlight Ink, die cut with the Natures Dies before being adhered across the middle of the Card Front.

The flower was die cut from Basic White Cardstock with Natures Dies prior to adding ink with the Sponge Daubers.  Not only does it give the card a bit of a wow, it also highlights the lovely texture in the shape created from the Dies.  I’ve used Bumblebee, Mint Macaron & Crumb Cake Inks.

I finished the card off by adding Gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots along with a Bumblebee Trinket.

Don’t forget to click HERE to vote for me.  I would really apreciate it!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Peaceful Deer meets Manly Monday

G’Day Friends,

Thanks so much for dropping by today.  It is always very much appreciated.

December Stamp & Card Club is now open for Registration.   To subscribe, click HERE, the link below or on the photo.  We would love for you to be part of this fun club.

I’ve created something a little different for the males in our lives today.  The males still need Christmas Cards & that is what I’ve created for you wth the Peaceful Deer Bundle from the current July-December Mini Catalogue.

I randomly chopped a square of DSP into 2 pieces & used 1 of the pieces to create my cardtoday.  The DSP was from Sale-a-Bration which means it is no longer available but you could always change it up to what you have in your stash.

The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White with Cherry Cobbler Ink, adhered to a Crumb Cake layer before being adhered to a Basic Black Card Base.

The snowflake is from the pack of Wonderful Snowflakes which is in the current Mini Catalogue.  The deer was stamped onto Basic White Cardstock, punched with the Deer Builder Punch & adhered over the top of the snowflake with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The card was finished off with Matt Black Dots being randomly adhered to the Card Front.

Nature’s Harvest

G’Day Friends,

Thanks so much for popping in this morning.

I’ve been playing with the Harvest Meadow Suite, Page 54 of the July-December Mini Catalogue of late.  Sometimes, it can take me a little while to start playing with a new set but when I do, I then have to keep going as I discover how much i love it.  This Suite is no exception.

In fact, this was our November Challenge over in our #WCMG.

I have just realised that it is a Monochromatic Card in that it only uses Misty Midnight & Basic White with a slight touch of Night of Navy, so all blues & white.

The flowers were stamped onto Basic White Cardstock & die cut with the Harvest Dies.  The long reeds were die cut with the same Dies but from Night of Navy Cardstock.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set along with that lovely shape.  Isn’t it just a gorgeous shape?

The Card Front is a little different in that I cut part of it away prior to adhering the panel to the front.  I am not sure what it is called but I think it suits the Sketch Layout.

The card was finished off with a couple of Silver Metallic Pearls.

Now onto today’s card!

It is one I created during our 12 Days of Christmas – #12daysofchristmas – over in our World Card Making Fb Group.  We have just finished the 12 days & all in time for Christmas.

This is a fun technique that the lovely Annette from the Stampin with the Bees shared with us where we played with our White Craft Ink.  I haven’t played with this fun technique for so long & it was great to see how the White looked on our cards.

To create my simple & easy card, I dragged the White Craft ink over a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock, let it dry before adhering it to a Thick Basic White Card Base.

I then adhered a snowflake from the Wonderful Snowflakes Embellishments to the Card Front with a Mini Glue Dot.  I tied a large bow from the Silver Twine prior to adhering it to the centre of the snowflake with a Mini Glue Dot.

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock in Night of Navy Ink, die cut with the Layering Circles Dies & adhered over the bow & snowflake with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

To complete the card I randomly adhered Sequins from the Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the Card Front.

Easy peasy, right?
