Card Candy with Zany Zoo by Stampin’ Up!

G’Day Friends,

Are you ready for another Card Candy?  Much to my surprise I am really enjoying the creative side of these.  I hope you are too.

During May, both Robbie & myself are sharing different ways of creating Card Candy/Embellishments for your card projects.  If you are a scrapbooker, then these will suit you too as they are perfect for your pages.  Don’t forget to jump on over to check out what Robbie has created.

I went straight to the Annual Catlaogue to find inspiration today.  Don’t be scared to do that – ther are great for lots of ideas, tips & inspiration.  I completely forgot to take a photo of the tag prior to adding it to my project!

Doesn’t that Granny Apple Green base card make it pop?  I wasn’t too sure if it would be too much, but I think it does.

After chopping a small piece of the Zoo Crew DSP into 3 pieces & adhering them to a piece of Petal Pink, I think decided that maybe the Basic White layer would be too stark so I then decided to sponge Pumpkin Pie over it & randomly stamp a few of the musice notes just the same as the Tag.

The Ribbon Duo Combo Pack in this Suite Collection is really very pretty.  I love the soft Petal Pink & Lemon Lime Twist contrast.  Would never have thought to put the 2 colours together but they compliment each other so well.

Oh, did I mention this Bundle will be showcased in our next Online Class to Go!?  All the details will be released this coming Monday.

Don’t forget to head on over to Robbie’s blog to see what she has created.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints & Blending Brushes

G’Day Friends,

It’s time for a Create Weekly Sketch Layout!  This week is all about #13 which is a very easy layout but one that can be replicated in so many ways.

I also have a different way for you to save the Layouts which makes great use of the 6 x 8 Photo Albums.  Eventually they will all be converted to this way as I think it is the just another way of using our Albums.  They will also have their own page!  A video will be uploaded sometime this week showing you how to organise them but in the meantime, click on the one you would like –

  • Click on the preferred layout to download, save or print & place in a folder for future use
  • The coloured layout & the sample layout can be placed in the Album back to back if you like

I decided a little bit of blending would suit this layout so I went with Crumb Cake, Peacan Pie & Pretty Peacock.  Not colours I would normally put together but it is always good to get out of your comfort zone.

The lovely fern leaf is from Nature’s Prints Bundle, stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock prior to being die cut with the matching die from the Natural Prints Dies.  The sentiment is from the same set but stamped with Peacan Pie Ink.  To complete the card I added a small bow from Linen Thread & randomly adhered 5 x Rustic Metallic Dots to the card front.

Be sure to check out the video on how I created today’s card by clicking below.  If you have trouble viewing the video, click HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Decorative Masks & Nature’s Prints

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for dropping by today.

Can you believe this is our last share for April hightlighting just a couple of the fun ways you can add a Colouring Technique to your projects?  Throughout April, Robbie & myself have been sharing a couple of our favourite colouring techniques each Sunday.  I sure hope you have enjoyed them.  I know we have.

Well today I didn’t know what to do so I pulled out my Decorative Masks & Blending Brushes BUT I wanted to play with an idea I’ve had forming in my mind all week.  I wasn’t too sure how it was going to turn out but I think I am happy with the final result, but I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Oh my it is so lovely that Pretty Peacock is returning.  I had forgotten what a WOW it was!  You are going to LOVE Bubble Bath too.  I know it will fast become one of my favourites.

If you haven’t played with the Decorative Masks, why not give them ago.  You will surprise yourselves.  Play, play, play & then create a project with all that playing you’ve done.  Go on, I dare you!

Be sure to pop over to check out what Robbie has created, by clicking HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship

G’Day Friends,

Are you ready for a little crafting?  Well, I have a little inspiration that may help you on your way.

My inspiration for my card actually came from Page 77 of the current Mini Catalogue but I took our Sketch Layout from last Sunday & used that as well.  You can see that layout by clicking HERE.  It also includes the Measurements for A4 – Metric & Imperial.  If you click the link to Robbie’s card, she will have her measurements in Letter Size.

The background has been created with our Artistic Mix Dcorative Masks & a Blending Brush.  In saying that you could easily omit this part if you wanted.

The flowers & sentiment are from the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set, coloured with Stampin’ Blends & punched with the coordinating Flowers & Leaves Punch.

Be sure to watch the video to see how I created my card today.
