Day 12 – Animal Expedition

Animal-Expedition-1---CloseG’Day Stampers,

Sorry I missed yesterday – life just goes that way sometimes.

So, today I am sharing with you the 2nd card using the fun Animal Expedition DSP whichAnimal Expedition - 19.25 is part of the “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion.  There are only 3 days left to take advantage of this.

This suite is close to my heart as it brings back so many happy memories.  My Dad worked out of town during the week which meant he left Sunday arvos & would be home Friday night.

We would all “help” him to back his swag Sunday although looking back I think we were more of a hindrance than a help but he didn’t seem to mind.

Anyhow, usually when he arrived home on the Friday night, he would sometimes carefully place his ?moving” swag on the floor which meant there was something usually Animal-Expedition-1---Insidalive in it.  With excited anticipation we would gently unwrap it to find a joey wrapped up safe & sound fully aware that its mother had been killed.  Dad never went past a dead animal on the side of the road without checking for a pouch.   He still stops & checks to this day which means I now do the same!

Our yard was always full of orphaned joeys, lambs, birds, etc but my favourite was & still is the kangaroo.  Imagine my surprise when SU! brought out this fantastic Animal Expedition Suite!  I think it was just for me!

Anyhow, I decided to keep the card simple although I’ve used a few bright colours of Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist to create my card.  I’ve toned the colours down by adding a little Vellum over the top of the DSP.

Once again, I am sharing with you a card we created yesterday in class using the lovely Under the Mistletoe DSP .  It is a simple one but one that uses the DSP a little different yet again.  If you click here, you will be able to see the 1st card I created using this lovely DSP.

Today I am sharing with you a quick & easy card created using the lovely Garden Garden Impressions - 19.25Impressions DSP.

I’ve teamed the DSP with Whisper White, Pacific Point & Melon Mambo Cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set which goes beautifully with the DSP.

The butterfly is from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits & is available in a Bundle with the stamp Set.  It has been die cut with Melon Mambo CS.

Day 2 – Under the Mistletoe DSP

Under-the-Mistletoe-1---Clo

Today I am sharing with you a simple card created using the lovely Under the Mistletoe DSP which is one of the packs that is in the promotion – Buy 3, get 1 FREE.

I love to use my DSP in different ways as I think it gives a whole new lookUnder the Mistletoe - 19.25 to your cards, plus it shows that you don’t require a lot of product to create quick & easy cards.

I’ve used Whisper White, Early Espresso, & Real Red Cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White in Real Red, die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits & adhere to a piece of Real Red, punched using the Starburst Punch.  The bow is from the Jar of Love Stamp Set.  Don’t you love it when you can get multiple uses from your stamps?

Dragonfly-Dreams---Close-Up

G’Day Stampers,

Today is I am sharing with you one of the cards we created in class last Friday.  I wanted to show the class that you could do more with your Embossing Folders then just emboss Cardstock.  We did a little sponging over the top of the embossed card.  It is only a little thing but it made our cards come alive!Dragonfly-Dreams---Inside

I originally created the card for one of our challenges some time ago & thought it perfect for a class as it involves a few different things including using the Blender Pen which is how we coloured our Bumble Bee from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set.  We also used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.
