Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Garden

G’Day Friends,

Can you believe another week has flown by which means it’s time for another Caseing the Mini Catalogue.

This week is our last of this series so I do hope you have enjoyed it & gotten a lot of ideas & inspiration from our shares.

This week, we are caseing the card on Page 55 of the January-April Mini Catalogue.  I’ve just realised that it is actually on the next page to the one we did last week.  How funny is that as it wasn’t planned to happen like that.

Part of the surprise about doing our layouts is that neither  Robbie or myself know what the other is using on their project as all we have is the Sketch Layout we have created to match the card we are caseing.

If you use Letter size, then head over to Robbie’s Blog to grab her measurements – bearing in mind, they may be a completely style card to mine – while here I will have the Letter Size – Metric & Imperial – for my project.

To download your preferred layout, all you have to do is click on the images, save to your PC or print on A5 paper & save in your Sketch Layout Folder to use over & over again.

I will be the first to admit that I wasn’t too sure where my card was heading when I started out but we got there in the end.  Does that ever happen to you?

I am loving the Country Gingham DSP from the Mini Catalogue so much that I’ve just about gone through 2 packs.  In saying that, I am a huge fan of gingham so this Designer Series Paper suits me to a “T”.

What do you think of the Vellum overlay?  Doesn’t it just soften the card?  I always forget about using my Vellum until I’ve completed the project but to my amazement I’ve actually remembered for this one.Be sure to watch the video to find out!

I hope you have enjoyed my take on our Sketch Layout for Week 4.  Be sure to visit Robbie’s blog to find out what she created from the Sketch.

Just Jade In Colour

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for dropping in today.

The Feature of the Week is all about the 2020-2022 In Colours.  Today is Just Jade’s turn.

I  decided to try & keep the card fairly simple & soft so I’ve teamed it up with Petal Pink & Grey Granite.  A colour combination that I think works well.

The lovely Petal Pink DSP is retiring too although we will have another 6 x 6 pattern of Subtles DSP to play with for the next 12 months.  Its always a mad scramble to try & use our retiring product before the new Catalogue hits us head on!

I then decided to pull a Stamp Set from my shelf that I hadn’t used for sometime & that was Dragonfly Garden along with the Dragonflies Punch.

Supplies  –

Stamp Set – Dragonfly Garden

Inks – Just Jade, Smokey Slate

Cardstock – Basic White, Just Jade, Grey Granite

DSP – Subtles 6 x 6

Punch – Dragonflies

Embellishments – Bumblebee Trinkets

Dies – Harvest

Dragonfly Garden

G’Day Stampers,

Today’s card is an idea I’ve had in my head for a couple of days so of course, I had to try & recreate the idea onto a card.  I’m happy to say that it worked out how I was one seeing it.

I die cut 4 different stitched rectangle shapes from a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle Dies before randomly stamping 3 of the shapes with images from Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set.   The 4th one I stamped a sentiment from the same Stamp Set.  All images were stamped in Night of Navy Ink.

The shapes were then arranged & adhered to a mat of Smokey Slate Cardstock.

A piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, adhered to a Night of Navy Base Card before the Smokey Slate panel was adhered to the centre of the embossed Cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I punched 3 x small dragonflies from scrap Merry Merlot Cardstock with the Dragonflies Punch prior to randomly adhering to the Card Front.

To complete the card, I adhered a Silver Metallic Pearls to the centre of each dragonfly & randomly to the panel.

I hope you like it as much as I did creating it.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Stamping!
