Kylie’s International Top Ten August Winners Blog Hop

Top 10 Winners

Welcome to the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop!   Do you remember my post from a couple of weeks ago asking for you to vote?  Check it out by clicking on “Teacher’s Gifts”.  Thank you to every one of you who took the time to vote – it worked!  Because of your votes, myself & other lucky talented Demonstrators get to hop along with Kylie (Australia’s #1 Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator).   I feel very honoured to be among this group, so thank you once again!

You are visiting from Corinne Blake who is from the USA.  I do hope you enjoyed Connie’s lovely creation.

Last month the theme was Teacher’s Gifts.  Well, for this blog hope, it is the same themeDelightful-Daisy-Crate---Em but creating a new item.  I did started out with butterflies in my head but now that I’ve finished it, they do look like funny sort of butterflies.  Yep, I picked up the wrong item, but never mind, I am happy with the project & more than happy with the colours.

To create my crate, I die cut a piece of the Thick Whisper White CS using the Wood Crate FramelitWood Crate Framelit As I wanted to try something different with my create, I mixed a small drop of Bermuda Bay Refill into a dab of Embossing Paste, placed  one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks over top & spread the Paste over the crate shapes prior to putting it together.   I repeated the same process onto a piece of Whisper White CS which I was going to be using for my card.

Delightful-Daisy---FlowerThe flower was created by punching 2 daisies from a piece of Whisper White CS with the Daisy Punch, sponged with a Sponge Dauber with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & then Daffodil Delight on both shapes prior to layering onto each other.  The centre was created by sponging a piece of scrap Whisper White CS using the same process, stamping the centre from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, punching with the 1/2″ Circle Punch & adhering to the centre.  To complete my flower, I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the middle.

The leaves were stamped onto a scrap piece of Whisper white CS, first with Lemon Lime Twist, then with Old Olive, punched with the Leaf Punch, scored down the middle to give them dimensional before adhering to the flowers.  They are from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set.  Sorry the photo doesn’t really do them justice.

I placed 2 Ferrero Rochers into a Cello Bag, stamped the sentiment from Wood Words Stamp Set onto scrap Whisper White CS in Bermuda Bay, die cut using the Wood Crate Framelits & tied it to the Cello Delightful-Daisy---EmbossinBag with Whisper White Baker’s Twine (retired).  I finished the bag off by tying a small bow from the Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon

For my card, I created another flower using the above steps, layered the embossed Card onto a piece of Daffodil Delight CS & then to the Base Card – Whisper White.  The leaves were created the same way as the crate.

I’m pretty happy with the end result even though the flowers were meant to be butterflies.  A happy mistake in this instance.

Next up is Karen……

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Daisy Crate

G’Day Stampers,

Until I am back into the swing of things I am keeping today’s post very short but I am sharing with you a couple of gifts I created using the “Wood Crate” Framelits, Page 212 of the 2017 Annual Catalogue.

I did these for a Expo I attended a couple of weeks ago & much to my surprise they proved very popular, especially to the kids.  I say this because I don’t usually do this sort of thing but I do think they were such a hit because they may have been a little different.

I stamped the Hardwood Background Stamp onto a piece of Night of Navy CS in Night of Navy Ink & die cut it with the Wood Crate Frameit by running the Big Shot.

I stamped 2 daisy images onto a piece of Whisper White CS in Daffodil Delight, punched with the corresponding Daisy Punch, adhered together & then adhered to the front of the crate.

I embellished the middle with a Gold Faceted Gem.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Scrapbook Page

Over the past month or so I have slowly been scrapping away at my niece’s photos & getting them posted to her.  Some I have kept for future Memories & More Scrapbooking Classes (check out the Class Page) while others have gone straight down to her.  Bonnie is loving the surprise of opening the packages & not knowing what photos have been done or if photos have been included…

Today’s page is one we created in our class on Sunday week.  It is going to be repeated later on at the request of a couple of ladies who couldn’t make it on the day but want to create the pages.  There have been a few ladies saying that they will be back to do the same class again, as they have heaps of photos to scrap.  This means that the pages will look totally different with new photos.

For my page I cut a piece of the retired “Peace This Christmas” DSP, adhered to a strip of Garden Green before adhering to a piece of Very Vanilla & then to Cherry Cobbler Card.  The Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler are part of the with the “Be Merry” Cardstock Pack.

A piece of Very Vanilla was cut back to size so that we could fit 4 x photos on it & adhered Holly-Berry-Happiness-Page-to the Cherry Cobbler Base.  Some of the ladies settled for 2 x photos which looked fine on the layout.

We stamped a couple of the holly branch image from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured & blended with our Blender Pens before fussing cutting.  The bows were stamped in the same ink but coloured with Cherry Cobbler & punched out with the matching Holly Berry Builder PunchWe stamped a number of the small holly images onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS, coloured & blended with Garden Green before punching with the same Punch & adhering to the braches of holly with the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

They were then adhered down the side of the page, the bows adhered to the tops with Mini Glue Dots & Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots (retired) adhered to the branch.

For the title, we cut a banner shape into each end, adhered a couple of the left over holly images to each end along with the Candy Dots before adhering to the bottom part of the page.

To finish off the page, some of the ladies then scattered a couple of the Candy Dots around the page.

The page would suit the new Be Merry DSP too.  It is just that my order didn’t arrive in time.  The ladies were more than happy to see how I use the retired DSP.  Mind you the pages were great sellers for both the Stamp Set & DSP.

Be sure to check out the Class Page for our next class.  We will be creating 2 beach pages.  All you need to bring is yourself & or a friend.  Everything is supplied.

Be sure to check back in a few days time when I will show you our 2nd page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Congratulations…..

… on finding each other.

This is the lovely sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s “A Word for you“.  It is also the sentiment I stamped onto this great little card.

Today’s share is the card we created in Crafty’s Creations Class this arvo.  Of course, everyone’s was very different, but that the great thing about all having the same kit & each creating their card by adding their personal touch.

I would never usually combine Basic Black & Regal Rose together but I wanted a bit of a dramatic effect & think it has worked.  Of course, the strip of Pearls along the top & the touch of Certainly Celery adds dimenion & colour to the card.

Inside card…
