Easy Sketch Layout with All About Autumn DSP

G’Day Friends,

Well, here we are yet again & into a new month. That only means one thing – Robbie &myself have something new in store for you this month – Sketch Layouts.

Be sure to head on over to Robbie’s log to see what she has created using the same sketch. We never know what the other is creating which tends to make it a little more interesting.

Check out the gorgeous colours in these papers? They’re from the 2023 September-December Mini Catalogue – All About Autumn Specialty DSP. Now, let’s face it, in the South Pacific, we’re into the start of spring. It means I would not have given these papers a senond look but as we’re using them for our September Exclusive Online Class, I decided to have a bit more of a play.

They are truely gorgeous, especially the opposite sides which have Gold Foil through them & especially great for male cards or all occasions, for that matter.

I must admit the colours are way out of my comfort zone too but hey, let’s face it, that can be a good thing. Don’t be scared to play with colours, you may surprise yourselves.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration for Father’s Day!

For today’s card I decided to dust off the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set & Waves Dies.

Sometimes we’re too busy playing with new product that we forget about old favourites collecting dust on the shelf. I love the images in this set, especially the Pelican & the great wave.

I also decided to team this set up with the Countryside Inn DSP. I’ve used one of the non-floral sides on my card. The base card is Old Olive while the middle panel is Pecan Pie.

Sailboat for a Non-Traditional Christmas Card

G’Day Friends,

It’s Week 2 of sharing our Christmas in July all month long. This is where Robbie & myself will be sharing Christmas Cards with you throughout the month of July!

Once again, I took a good look at my stamps to see what I could use & the Sailboat Builder Punch popped into my head – not that it’s a stamp, mind you.

I then knew I wanted to use our Sponge Daubers so out they come along with Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie Inks. Real nautical colours, right? Plus, I think they go well with the piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP I had selected.

The sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set while the seagull is from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set. To cover up my booboos, I added Silver Festive Pearls which I think help turn it more into a Non-Traditional Christmas Card.

Christmas Baubles with Very Best Occasions

I don’t have a lot of Christmas stuff at the moment so I had to really have a good look at how I was going to create today’s card. It’s amazing what springs to mind when looking at your product with a new set of eyes, so to speak

The “Baubles” have been created with the Stylish Shapes Dies which now that I’ve done them, the ideas are popping into my head. You will be seeing a little more of this type of card in the future, especially Christmas cards.

The sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set which only part of the sentiment was used. This was done by colouring a small amount with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker. Another way of making your Stamp Sets stretch even further.

July is a new month & that means Robbie & myself have new projects to share with you all month. We’re having a Christmas in July!

Yep, all month, we will be sharing projects for you to create in time for Christmas. I’m sure you will be seeing lots of different creations from both Robbie & myself.

I am a very non-traditional Christmas person. Don’t get me wrong, I love christmas but I am not keen on all the reds & greens. I like to step out of the box a little. I also like to create what I think suits our area. So be prepared to see all sorts of cards this month lol.

My card is not what I started out to create. It sort of took a different turn but I’m happy with the colours & layout.

The Paper is the 2022-2024 Tahitian TIde 6 x 6 which was chopped back to a piece & adhered to a piece of Basic White Cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions which is just perfect for ALL occasions.

To highlight the paper a little, 2 lines were scored along the top & 3 along the bottom of the DSP. I love doing this on my cards. It creates such a big impact.
