Across the Waves Blog Hop

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for hopping by.  It is always very much appreciated.

Each Wednesday Robbie & myself did a little mini hop for you showcasing a particular Stamp Set or Bundle.  Well, I am happy to say that the hop has now gone worldwide.

In saying that, I am excited to say today is our very first worldwide Across the Waves Blog Hop.  On the last Wednesday of each month, a group of current Stampin’ Up Demos will be hopping along with us.  If you have arrived from Robbie‘s blog, welcome!

Our theme for April is all about the males.  As some of us find it hard to create for the males, this is the perfect way to grab ideas & inspirations for the males in your lives.

I do hope you enjoy my project this arvo.  It is a very simple one with a little bit of sponging & a little colouring.

Friends are like Seashells

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for dropping by.

My card today is one we created in our Mystery Stamping a couple of weeks ago & thought I would share it with you.

I’ve been playing with the Soft Pastels of late & WOW, WOW, WOW!  I can’t seem to put the things down.

If you haven’t see them in the Annual Catalogue, do yourself a favour & grab them today, as you need these little beauties in your collection.  I love them so much that I’m planning on doing a series of classes with them, but more about that later.

Again it is an easy layout & one which you can use over & over while resulting in a completely different look.  But then again, that is what Mystery Stamping is all about – simple, easy but with a little bit of mystery!!!

Of course, when you have a great layout that you love & use over & over, there is no stopping.  I then shared a 2nd card I created that morning with different supplies.

My 2nd card I shared using the same layout has been created with the lovely limited Waves of the Ocean Collection.  This Collection will no longer be available after May 2.

Cardstock is Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy & Basic White.  The images have been stamped in Soft Suede, Basic Black & NIght of Navy Inks.  Of course the Waves of the Ocean DSP is from the Collection.

It’s Wednesday & that means it’s time for our Across the Waves Mini Blog Hop.

Alas this will be our last Mini Hop.  Can you believe it?  In saying that, as from next week, we will be going global but hopping the last Wednesday of the month.

I do hope you have enjoyed what Robbie & I have shared with you over the last few months.  Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my FB Page.  It’s always so appreciated.

For the month of April, we are showcasing the lovely Oceanfront Stamp Set.  You need this set in your collection, believe me!

This set makes it so easy to create lovely projects with minimum supplies & effort!

Belle & I were out & about early on our walk this morning.  In fact, it was still dark when we left home, but by the time we hit the beach, I was struck with the most amazing sunrise with the sun just starting to appear.  Can I just say, most days the sunrise is amazing but some more so than others.

As I sat down to create my card, I knew I wanted to try & capture the image into my card.  I think I have!

The circle was die cut with the Layering Circles Dies before being embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  To create the scene, the images were stamped onto a piece of Bsaic White Cardstock before being adhered to the back of the circle.

The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set.

Stamp Set – Oceanfront, Inspired Thoughts

Cardstock – Basic White, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral

Embossing Folder – Tasteful Textile 3D

Nature’s Prints

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for dropping by.  It is very much appreciated.

Last night was the first time we did our Mystery Stamping on a Monday Night.  A little different for me as I usually go to bed with the chooks & up with the birds!

I decided to play with some new product that will be in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue & believe me, I loved them & I think you will too.

I was able to purchase the gorgeous Tea Boutique 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper along with the Sun Print’s Suite Collection in our Pre-Order.  I didn’t use the whole Collection but instead teamed Nature’s Prints Stamp Set up with the DSP.  I think it may have worked but I will let you be the judge.

It’s a simple & easy layout but one that showcases both the lovely Stamp Set AND the gorgeous DSP.

I wanted to see if I could create something a little different wih this set using only the grass images.  I think I have achieved it, but you decide for yourself.

I’ve actually used 3 techniques on this card – can you guess what they are?  Check below to find out what they are…..
