Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Male Card

G’Day Friends,

I have an easy, clean & simple male’s card to share with you today. Change out the colours & it can also be for the females. They layout has been taken from one of my Create Weekly Sketch Layouts.

As I was cleaning up the other day, my hand went onto the Sending Smiles Stamp Set & thought “could I create a male’s card with this set?” So I challenged myself to try & create one for Father’s Day. I like to really look at my stash to try & use them in multiple ways. Give it a try!

I love colouring our solid images with our gorgeous Stampin’ Blends. Have you tried it? You will be amazed at the result & how different they look once completed.

I will often combine the Blends & our Watercolour Pencils too. Although this time, I added a little more depth by colouring around the iages to make them look like they are floating on the card. I think it worked but you be the judge!

Stampin’ Up! Let’s Go Fishing Suite Collection

G’Day Friends,

When designing my monthly cards for my classes, I always create extras to use throughout the month. I like to be able to showcase what we will be using in upcoming classes with extra samples, ideas & inspiration. You may have guessed by now that we will be playing with the Gone Fishing Bundle along with the Let’s Go Fishing DSP during August.

This Bundle is perfect for the males in your lives but of course it is great for females & kids who just love to go & toss in a line or 2. I know, I’m one of them. I just love the casting. Any fish I catch is a bonus but then they are usually thrown back.

I wasn’t too sure how I was going to go with my DSP as I was thinking of doing it in a couple of ways but happy with how it looks. This is perfect for those scraps of DSP you may have lying around too.

The sentiment is perfect for Father’s Day which is coming up in September. I am yet to create a stack more for the local shop & of course, one for my Dad too.

No Bling on my card today as I didn’t think it called for any. That’s not to say that you can’t add any.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf Bundle meets Create Weekly #17

Thank you so much for popping by today. It is very much appreciated.

Today’s card has been created with the Tropical Leaf Bundle along with the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Both of which you will find in the Online Exclusives.

They have been teamed up with Create Weekly #17. I’ve had a few requests asking if I would bring back Create Weekly. Happy to say that it will be happening.

I’ve used the Sponge Daubers to create my leaves for ths card. The colours are Lemon Lime Twist & Shaded Spruce. Don’t you just love the effect?

Check out the little pops of Blueberry Bushel Glorious Gingham DSP along with the Daffodil Delight XOXO images behind the Basic White panel. To add more WOW to the card, the whole panel was embossed with my favourite folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.

What about the pretty Berry Burst Tinsel Gems? Don’t they just finish the card?

Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments for the Males

G’Day Friends,

August is with us & that means Robbie & I are showcasing & sharing something different this month. August is all about the Males! Some of us have a hard time ceating for the males, while others of us find it easy.

Me? Well, I tend to keep any cards very easy & clean. I don’t like to go overboard or to put too much “stuff” on my cards.

Be sure to check out what Robbie has created today for her card.

I’ve used the Glorious Gingham DSP 6 x 6 to create my card along with Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy & Azure Afternoon Cardstock.

The sentiment is from the fantastic Charming Sentiments Stamp Set – perfect set for all occasions. Once I had decided it was for a birthday, I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy Ink direct onto Basic White Cardstock prior to adhering to a layer of Night of Navy.

To complete the card 3 x stars were die from Azure Afternoon Cardstock with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I thought it would be a little different than using our gorgeous Emblellishments. I am loving the stars at the bottom corner of the card front.

As I’ve been playing with the Rhino Ready Bundle, I thought it would be fun to created a “twisted” version of the card I created on Monday. You can check out that one HERE.
