Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf Bundle

G’Day Friends,

Today is the last day to register for our May Stamp & Card Club.  This Club is so much fun.  There are 2 options available – 6 monthly subscription or a Month to Month.

To subscribe to this Club, click on the link below.

I’ve been busy having lots of fun creating with the Tropical Leaf Bundle from the Exclusives Online Shop.

I pulled out the Sponge Daubers to create my leaves for today’s card.  Gotta love those little devils.  They’ve been stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink before being randomly daubed with Pretty Peacock Ink.  The veins & stems have been stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink.

The large piece of Basic White was embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder prior to being adhere to a Tahitian Tide Base Card.

The Tahitian Tide Metallic Ribbon was tied into a small bow prior to being adhered to the bottom of a piece of Basic White Cardstock with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.  I’m so glad we have a couple of Circle Punches to play with.

Card Candy with Stampin’ Up! Petal Park

G’Day Friends,

Today, Robbie & I have something a little bit different to share with you during May – Card Candy!  Now, I will be honest & say I said “WHAT!  How the hell am I gonna create that!” But it’s not what you think lol.    To check out what Robbie has created, click on the link.

So off to Pinterest I went to do a little homework.  After looking for quiet sometime – got a little sidetracked lol – I think I finally worked out what it is.  It’s basically handmade embellishments for papercrafting, especially Scrapbooking but we’re using the ones we create on our cards.

This is the Card Candy we created in our video.  Very off the cuff not knowing how it would turn out.  Great to recreate with only scraps of Cardstock & Paper.

To create my card, I chopped a piece of the lovely Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper into 2 pieces – you know how I love to do that – adhered it to a piece of Basic White Cardstock prior to embossing with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

The Basic White layer was adhered to a layer of Blackberry Bliss before being adhered to a Berry Burst Base Card.

It was finished off with 5 x Brushed Metallic Dots.

Don’t forget to shoot over to Robbie’s blog to see what she has created.

To view how I created my Card Candy, click on the video below.  If you have trouble viewing it, then click HERE.  I must apologise in advance for the shadows.

Create Weekly Sketch Layout with Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Stamp Set

G’Day Friends,

It’s been a little while since our last Create weekly Sketch Layout, so I thought we would try & get them going again.  I love creating from a layout as its a great starting point, especially if you have in a bit of a slump.

Now, the gorgeous Forever Fern Stamp Set is on the Retiring List & will be the first to admit that I will miss it, but no doubt, give me a month & I’ll have a favourite to replace it lol.  If you have this set on your Wish List, grab it while you can as once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Don’t you love how pretty these 2 colours of Shaded Spruce & Parakeet Party work so well together?  I wasn’t too sure how they would go but I am loving the combination.  I also think the Shaded Spruce brings out the yellow in the Parakeet Party too.

Grab your supplies to create your own version of the layout.  Don’t forget to share your creation on my FB Page or in our Stamp & Create FB Group.  We would love to see them.

Check out the video created showing you how easy it is to create from a Sketch Layout to make your card.  If you have trouble viewing it, click HERE to watch it.

Stampin’ Up! Whale Done with Soft Pastels

G’Day Friends,

Thank you so much for dropping by today.

I would like to wish you all a very safe & happy Easter.  Enjoy your day whether you are with family or friends.

During April, Robbie & myself will be sharing our favouite colouring tecniques each Sunday.  Not only that, we each have a video on how we did our colouring & created our projects.

I’ve teamed the Soft Pastels with the Whale Done Stamp Set, which is on the Retiring List.  Although I am happy to see the Soft Pastels aren’t retiring.  I love these little devils so much.  There are tons of ways you can use them too.  Today’s card is only 2 ways of playing with them.

See the cute turtle?  That was coloured with Sponge Daubers & Inks.  You can see how I did that in the video too.  Don’t you just love the pretty colour of the whale?

Don’t you just love that background?  An easy & simple way to create lots of pretty backgrounds for your cards or even scrapbook pages.

Be sure to pop over to check out what Robbie has created, by clicking HERE.

Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop

G’Day Friends,

Thank you for stopping by & welcome to our Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop for March.

Each month we focus on a particular Bundle from either the current Mini or Annual Catalogue.  Well, this month is a little different as we are featuring different Colouring Techniques.  The Colouring Techniques will also feature in our Inspirations in Ink Tutorial Bundle, which you won’t want to miss out on.  Believe me, the projects are simply gorgeous.

You may be starting with me – Vicky Wright, Australia – or you may have come from another blog.  Either way, I hope you enjoy our projects we have to share with you today.

I chose to showcase our great Sponge Daubers.  I love these little things especially the way they change an image with a little bit of ink & WOW, you have a hit on your hands.

Now, I would have to say that the cute little Sea Turtle Stamp Set from the January-April Mini Catalogue is just perfect for this technique.  No thinking of what to use lol.  This set screams Sponge Daubers.

The images have been randomly stamped onto Basic White Cardstock with Pool Party, Real Red & Evening Evergreen Inks.

The turtles have been inked with Pool Party Ink with Garden Green Ink randomly daubed with a Sponge Dauber.

The Base Card is Grey Granite Cardstock.

Don’t forget if you are stamping more than one image, clean the stamp in between the stamping & daubing of ink or you may ruin your Ink Pads.  I always ink with the lighter colours & daub with the darker colour.

Wanna see how I used the Sponge Daubers, click below to view the video.

I do hope you have enjoyed my project today.  Thanks again for dropping by.

As this is a blog hop, don’t forget to hop along by clicking on the links below.  You will see some great colouring projects on this hop.
